wedding night

I've heard that if you have a Disney wedding, your hotel is free on your wedding night (but they don't advertise this). Anybody know if this is true? Does this include the GF???

I don't know the official policy, but I do know that when DH's best friend got married at WDW, he and his bride got to spend the first night of their honeymoon at the GF (they were at POFQ before that). I don't know for sure if it was free, but I got the impression it was.

We stayed at the GF on our Disney Wedding night/Honeymoon and it was not free. Granted, that was 6+ years ago, so I don't know the policy now.

I believe you get a free night if you have a Wishes wedding and meet the room requirements (25). Elastigirl knows more....

I'll see if I can get her to answer...

Lorelei is correct!

If you can guarantee that your wedding guests will reserve 25 or more room nights (not rooms) Disney gives you a complimentary night at the resort of your choice. You could use it on the wedding night, but it's a separate reservation, so you'd have to check in on your wedding day, which can be a hassle. We used ours at the Grand Floridian on the last night of our honeymoon.

Oh, and yeah, it's for Wishes/Couture weddings only. Escape weddings can set up a room block, but they get lesser discounts and don't get the free night.

I'm confused.........you said 25 nights, not 25 rooms.....does that mean your guests have to stay 25 nights in a row???? sorry if I sound stupid but that sounds like alot to ask of your guests....

No it means 25 nights TOTAL between all of your guests. Mom might stay 5 nights, sister might stay a week with her family, grandma might only stay 2 nights...thats up to 14 already.

Hope this helps :-)
