| We are SOOO ready thanks to Passporter!! I am visiting the wonderful world of Disney (Florida) in just over 3 weeks for the first time in over 24 years! (Yikes(!) does time fly?!) Last time I went, was with my folks when I was 14...now as a 38 year old I get the priviledge of joining them again for this awesome family vacation WAY(!) over-due. :-) I'm in Houston, and they are in Vegas so we are meeting up there. We're going Oct. 16-21st and will be celebrating my Momma's 60th birthday! I'm really just about to jump out of my skin, I'm so excited!! :-) They [Momma & Daddy] are actually the ones who got me the Passporter and we have been, for the past couple months, planning and reading our respective books with great anticipation, and getting schooled at the same time...learning all about Disney like we never would have before...and will be VERY well prepared thanks to this great resource. ALSO, thanks to this board I've got the proper footware to get me through it all as well. :-) I was actually curious about the Halloween happenings at Disneyworld...I know there is Halloween decor already up...(hooray for that, as I've never seen Disney in Halloween "garb" before. Christmas, yes -- Halloween, never!) And I know all about the MNSSHP...but other than the party...are there any special things to keep a look out for, or to do? We already know about the Food and Wine Festival, too...and we are very ready for that as well. I just don't want to miss any Halloween "doings" because I wasn't informed. :-) Thanks a million and happy traveling!

| Great question - we went last fall and the only thing I noticed was the decor - the colours at the entry to the MK and the banners on Main St are orange and there are carved jack o' lanterns all over. I think Disney Land gets a little more into Halloween as far as making actual changes to some of the attractions, but I'll be watching this post to see if there are things that I don't know about because we leave shortly. We have kids and we are bringing some Halloween window decals to decorate our room window with but that's all we have planned for our part. Have a great trip - it is so much fun to return as an adult after a long absence - really brings back memories!
