| I have a friend whos whole family is going to Walt Disney World in November or December. Her mother is 64. There is one day that her dad is going fishing, her mom is having tea at the Grand Floridan at 3:20 and my friend and her husband are going to spend the day together alone. Her dad and mom are going to the 9ish Fort Wilderness dinner show that night too. She was asking what her mom could do the rest of the day since she will be by herself. She did mention that her mom isn't really comfy by herself too. Since I have a 9 year old and my parents are fine off by themselves I am at a loss as to suggestions. Anyone have some good ones? |

| Maybe she could get a mani/pedi at the GF when she is done with her tea. Another option would be to shop/explore the close resorts. There are some great shops and this would give her some "her" time without really going off by herself to far. Also with her staying in that area she can then meet up with her husband to go over to Ft. Wilderness.

| I was thinking of the spa, but a tour's a good idea as well.

| I agree with the tour. They have one at Old Key West that takes then around the grounds and shows them the flowers. My mother liked having a spa day. She enjoyed that day because it was a break for her, and she wasn't walking in the parks all day. (We went in July and it was horrible but we have family members that could only get off work during July)

| I've been on my own a time or two, and I did a tour. It was very enjoyable, and since the guide was talking the whole time, I didn't feel obligated to engage with anyone else. It was very enjoyable. Of course, I'm not 64, but I still think it's a good idea.
