Thought I'd try here too ...

Calling all Creative Folks! Need a vacation title!
I posted a similar plea up at DISboards as well, but haven't gotten a bite. Thought I'd try here too in the hopes that this group can provide me with some ideas!
Allow me to share my dilemma. In the great scheme of things in this world, this problem is really small potatoes, but it's been driving me crazy.
Like many here, I'm a bit of an OCD type planner. I've got binders and books and lists, oh my! It's my first trip with my partner of 7 years (I like that term better than "boyfriend" at my age!) and I'm so very excited. I'm makin' shirts, and buyin' goodies and everything. I'll probably do some sort of scrapbook afterwards!
But I don't have a decent vacation title. I've asked everyone I know, searched the intarwebz, and even talked to strangers at the craft stores where I hang out at. Much as I love my man, I've come to the conclusion that he is about as useless as udders on a bull in this department. I'm desperate! I don't want it to be "The [insert last name here] family vacation".
I need some Disney Pizazz.
All my binders, my autograph books, my lists, everything - they are blank, awaiting a catchy name to set this vacation apart from just another week away from work. I am absolutely amazed at the level of creativity and camaraderie I see on this board, so I thought - maybe people here can help. So I implore you, my forum-mates, to help me discover a great title for my upcoming vacation.
I'll start you out with some key info:
1. The SO and I are in our 40's. We're kinda big kids.
2. We are childless and are going together for 8 days. (sort of childless - after all, I'm going with my guy)
3. At the time of the visit, we will be less than 6 weeks away from our 7th anniversary together.
4. This is our first vacation to WDW and our first vacation since January 2004. Yes...by the time I'm in Orlando, it will be over 6 years since our last vacation.
5. Our working title is "Traveling Around the Disney World in Eight Days" which is kind of blah for me. He said, "It doesn't ring well", but he had no alternative.
6. We have a pretty keen sense of humor.
7. He loves Star Wars (therefore we changed our dates to coincide with the opening of ST2) and Stitch, and I love NBC and Fantasia. We love all the Disney characters, but have a special place in our hearts for them.
Can you help? Got any ideas? Even if you think your idea might silly, don't be afraid to speak up! It might be just the seed I need to grow something fabulous! Remember: friends don't let friends have crappy vacation titles!
These are a GREAT start. Love the Prince & Princess...but we're both computer geeks, so Prince & Princess would probably work better for others. But keep them coming, I'm sure that between us all, we can come up with something that not only I can use, but that other Passporters can use as well. (I'm all about sharing the wealth)
I think the 40 (ok...42....) year old virgins idea is hilarious, and I'm going to run it by Mr. NonInspiredPants tonight. Then again, a Stitch in Time is great because technically we are going to be there for 9 days (get it..."A stitch in time saves nine"?).
I'm starting to "personalize" some of my Passporter pages, and I'll try these out for size. Thank you both so much for chiming in. I really appreciate it.
I can't think of anything right now - but I'll keep it in mind and try to come up with a great name for you. I feel like it's right on the tip of my tongue!
I also hope you'll post a trip report - you guys sound like a fun couple to "accompany" on their trip!
I knew you guys would help me find my creativity bone!
I bonked the guy in the noggin last night during our evening ritual of winding down to watch "Good Eats" on Food Network and told him about the options provided here. After a bit of rolling the titles in our heads, it seems he fancied "The 7 year Stitch" most of all. I think it's because he thinks it excuses him from having to come up with something.
Then...the pixie dust happened. Some Disney Muse decided to smack me upside my own brain with the Wand of Doom and gave me an idea. So I added to the title...
"The Seven Year Stitch - Our Magical Moustery Tour"
It's punny, it's dated (sue me...I'm old), but I thought it worked. What do you guys think? Am I on the right track, or is it just too dorky?
I like it! Your post hit home with me. I'm in a similar situation. We will be celebrating 3 years together while we are @ WDW, we are in our 40's, we will travel without children, I have binders, books, research galore (I actually burned up nearly 2 reams of paper printing every menu I could find in order to choose dining we would like), and I too have a "title" for our trip. Since I like Tinkerbell, he has always called me "Tink". He is a bit of a caveman, and dubbed himself "Tonk". Our vacation is called "Tink & Tonk's Terrific Trip".
Woo Hoo! Houston, we have a title...repeat, we have a title! I want to thank all you great muses for helping and being so supportive! I'm -a gonna be changing all my titles RIGHT NOW!
The man thinks it's "too long", but cute. He humors me. Meh...it's not like HE helped or anything! Don't let me sway you - he's really a good man. Just not wired for sound like I am. It's why we get along...I'm the crazy one and he's in some mellow zone, ready to calm me down. Between us two, there's a normal person in there. Besides, anyone who knows me (waving hi to Judi, my amazing TA) knows I'm a long winded broad!
Tink - your title is pretty super too! Maybe the SO & I will also catch up with other kid-free couples our age! You and Tonk sound like a lot of fun! (If you're in WDW in May 2011, lemme know! We can chat over some of those Dream Whips people keep raving about!)
As for Chays, Wolfie and Mary, I want to thank you for asking me to do a TR - I'm not really sure what to do or how to do it, but I'm flattered and honored that you would be interested in my shenanigans...er...planning and experience. I'm learning that I'm a bit of an OCD planner (I've already picked out my restaurants, rated the attractions that I need to see, have scoped out my hotel and been studying maps of the World for a month now) and I've been scouring anything on teh intarwebz to teach me to be a good mousie. I've even informed the guy that I want to be a fairy godmailer - I think that's the coolest thing ever!! (he thinks it's awesome too)
You all made my day - thank you so much! <<big hugs all around>>
