| WWYD? DS is three and a half and has just taken to coming into Mommy and Daddy's room at night to snuggle and sleep. The hotel we're staying in while at WDW is a suite: has a King size bed in the bedroom, and a fold out sofa in the day room. Do you think we should even bother trying to put DS to bed on the fold out sofa in the day room at night, or just let him fall asleep in the bed with us? Our DD, who will be in a crib, will already be in the bedroom. It just makes sense, but DH is having some trouble thinking its a good idea. But I think it would be easier for him, and us, seeing as how we could hang out int eh day room after the little ones go to sleep instead of tip toeing around the entire suite. Besides, DS will probably wake up int he middle of the night, not know where he is, and cry for us to come find him so he can sleep with us anyway. You don't think that after 13 nights of this he would stop sleeping in his own bed at home, do you? WWYD?

| I would try the sofa bed. I shared a bed with DS while in Disney and it took me what seemed like forever to then get him out of my bed at home. If he wakes up in the sofa bed scared try leaving a night on in one of the rooms, like the bathroom, so that he can see where he is.

| I would go with putting him in the King, for the reasons you site: 1) he's going to wind up there anyway, so 2) why not leave the other room empty so grown-ups can enjoy it? As for trouble sleeping afterward, you probably WILL have to retrain him to sleep alone when you get home again, but it go quickly. Our 4- and 1-year old get messed up sleep patterns after every vacation or trip to grandma's. It takes of couple of days once we get home to get them back on track. Best of luck!

| we had 3 kids in my room the last time we went to WDW and none of them wanted to sleep with anyone else so we ended up make beds on the floor for them and they took tunes on who got to sleep in the other bed.

| Although allowing your son to share the king size bed with you does sound like the most practical solution, I also think that it will probably be very difficult to break him of this habit once you get back home. Joy

| Could you get a fold up bed put into the bedroom? That way he sleeps in his own bed, but he is still in the room with you AND you still have the day room for grownups after hours.

| I agree with PamelaK. If there's a way to have a fold-out bed or a makeshift bed in the bedroom beside yours (even if it makes it a little cramped in there), you all win. He sleeps in his own bed, you get the day room for adult time at night, and you don't have a bad habit to break when you get home. There are websites like One Step Ahead where they sell these really awesome blow up toddler beds for nominal prices. You could try that. I'm not 100% positive but I'm PRETTY sure it blows itself up, and when it's deflated it fits nicely into a suitcase or carry-on (if you're flying). Failing that, I'd make an attempt to put him on the sofa bed. If after a couple of nights you really see it won't work, do the king bed. But it's worthwhile to at least attempt a separate bed, one way or another. Good luck!

| Let him sleep in the King. It will be difficult when you get home, but do it anyway. You are right about having the Day room to hang out in after the kids nod off, and I'd be nervous about having him sleep in the IN/OUT room (room with a door to the outside) without an adult there - but I'm paranoid ![]() In Toys-R-Us, I saw a blow-up TWIN bed for $14.99. |

| I would let him sleep in the king, for the reasons you give. I think if he feels safe and comfortable at night, he'll be in a better space emotionally during the day. Disney vacations can be exhausting and overwhelming, and young kids are less likely to have meltdowns if they are well-rested and feeling secure. Just my $.02.

| Take a sleeping bag -a toddler size one. He can bunk out in the bag, on the floor near the bed. You'll have a huge problem getting him out of your bed at home if you start putting him to bed with you. |

| i would first make him sleep in *his own bed* making it fun...tell him Mickey sleeps in his bed (show him in MK) and all that... if after a few nights he REALLY cant handle it...i would let him sleep with you. no need to be TOTALLY wiped out for 2 weeks.. it will be work getting him back in his bed at home, but you spent ALOT on your trip no doubt... i would, however, make sure you tell him when he is coming to bed with you, that this is a treat, its only for WDW, and its only because its a special place, so he gets special treatment.. i dont know how much your 3 y-old can grasp (they are all different) but you will know exactly what to say to him
