| My wife and I have been to Diseny many times, but this is the first time we are taking a grandchild. He is 2 1/2 and tends to be a little on the active side. Any suggestions to help with the long plane flight? We also have a granddaughter but she's going to have to wait until next time since she is a lttiel younger, plus her parents are WDWVC members and she has been there before. We have tow more grnadkids due in April, No, they're not twins, different moms. We are so looking forward to helping our grandkids diswcover WDW but this first time is just a little scary! We're actuelly going to be in Florida for two weeks, the first week we will be on Sanible Beach, then off to the land of the mouse! Thanks, Dan

| Don't sweat too much. My DW and I took our three (3) GKids (4,6,9) in 2006 for 11 days. We had a wonderful time. Just remember that they can go like you can and everything will be great. Talk with mom and dad and make sure you know what they like and don't like. Mom amd dad alway know more that Gmom & Gpa. Have a great time. Let us know what happens. ![]() |

| When we took our GD (then 4yrs) we packed a "goodie bag" for the plane. New crayons, coloring/activity book, paper, DVD Player, and a couple of DVD's (although the battery didn't last the whole flight), CD player with some of her CD's and some new small travel-toys. Also packed some fruit snacks, crackers, and gum for the take off and landing. Sounds like a lot, but it all fit in her "new" princess backpack. This time we are taking 3 GD's (ages 7, 4 and 7 months -- Mom and Dad are going along with the 4 and 7 month old) and are packing goodie bags again. We found mini-Etch-a-Sketch's at a Cracker Barrell, but also have seen them at Target. We are putting in new crayons, coloring books, stickers, etc. again, too. Mostly stuff I pick up on clearance or at the everything-for-$1 store. Hope this helps... you'll have a great time! |

| Thank you all very much. I know we'll be fine... once we get there. It's just the plane flight that has me worried. GS does not like sitting still for long. The "goodie bag" sounds like a great idea!

| Definitly a goodie bag! We recently went to TX (3-3 1/2 flight) with ds3 & dd2 at the time. They both just turned 3 & 4, it was about 7mths ago. We packed Disney backpacks for them. They are both active and our dd does not sit still for a minute! She thankfully fell asleep for a while which helped. We packed almost everything nanpchef did. The snacks were the best idea, and you can't have enough. Tootsie pops were great because they lasted a long time and helped on the way up and down with their ears. The fruit snacks are a great idea and the doctor recommended swedish fish. Good luck with the flight. I was very, very nervous about flying also and it was fine, but I know how anxious you must be. Also, I had Tylenol on hand in case we had a problem on the way up I could give it to them to take the edge off on the way down. I don't usually give my children any medication so whenever I do it works well. Also, I don't usually give them two lolipops in 2 hrs. but I was so worried I didn't care. Again, have a great time and a great flight, please let us know how you make out.

| Definitely a goodie bag - and don't forget to hide some brand new goodies for the trip HOME. Maybe something you've picked up at the parks... |
