BBB just doesn't fit our budget (PB&J's until we get there just to make the trip!)...but I'm going to be looking for princess dresses on Nov. 1st (CLEARANCE) and tiara's...and I'll do our own version when we go to the Princess Storybook breakfast in Epcot! I can sprinkle glitter with the best of them!!!

Because the dress was comfy and not too hot, she kept it on all the way to the end of the day and she still wears it to church and other occasions. (Plus, since we were having lunch at CRT, she didn't have to pick just ONE princess for the day...she had several on her skirt.)

Here's a couple photos of my own little princess -- I know yours will enjoy it just as much!

This was such a smart idea!

Hi,

My DD6 loved the BBB. We bought her a dress on sale through the online disney store . I am glad we did as I would have ended buying one there as allot of little girls at MK were wearing them. She brought an older shorter dress and between the two, she was wearing one most of the time.

Hi,

With all the rain with TS Fay and having to take the poncho on and off , my DD's tiara tip broke. We ended up buying her a new one at a marketplace for a couple of dollars. Her BBB was birthday, or we wouldn't have done it. We saved for a long time and having to postpone twice in two years gave us the advantage of a bigger/longer trip than we could have afforded normally with 3 kids.

Storybook dining was the highlight of her trip and her birthday. Yes, she loved BBB, but it doesn't compare to seeing the real princesses!!

The barbershop in MK will do girls's hair in a hairdo similar to that at BBB, for only $17 (plus tip). Even cheaper than the $50 at BBB! Don't think you get the sash then, but still all the fun!!

Just passing it along. There are so many tips on these boards you just can't find them all!!

My daughter just had her hair done at the Harmony Barbershop this past Sat. (9/6) and it only cost $7.50. They put her hair in a high ponytail, added 2 different colors of hair gel and tons of Mickey confetti and Tinkerbell dust. It was one of the highlights of the trip.

Thumbs up

We did BBB at the Castle on 8/29. It was such a beautiful experience. We purchased a Jasmine costume for dd6 (she chose it) and we did the hair/makeup/nails package ($55.00 one).

I asked dd6 what she thought of it last night as she was intently giving me such a great rundown of the ride she liked and the one's she didn't.

She said that the FGMIT hurt her head when she combed out her hair. That is nothing unusual as dd6 NEVER likes her hair combed as it is naturally curly and VERY tangly. She went on to say that the pins hurt and the bun was too tight. She was not crazy about ever doing it again. But I am glad we did it at least once!!! As a side note: the bun did last through the night, but dd6 made us comb out the bun as she was VERY unhappy it was still intact. Combing it out was a nightmare but as she was not feeling well she didn't want to wash her hair either....uuuuugggghhhh!!!! I would say if you are looking to get your money's worth, the do's will last for at least a couple of days.

We then walked outside and had a picture with who else but The Real Live Fairy Godmother!!!!!!!!!!!! That wasn't part of the package, she was there for autographs and pics.

While it was ADORABLE, we will not be doing it agan...

My dd LOVED it! And is looking forward to doing it again next month. We brought a dress from home. Dd kept it in her carryon because it had to be there.
We're bringing clear rain ponchos for her so even if it rains she'll still shine threw.

Watching my beautiful princess float that day is one of my most magical memories.

My DD5 loved it and while we bought the Cinderella dress there for her birthday I would bet that almost 1/2 of the young princesses there while we were in May came in already wearing a princess dress.

My daughter had the JASMINE outfit that she got at the store and itched the whole time, but gosh we'll do it again! Just bring a cotton tank and shorts to go under!

Question-does anyone know how far in advance they take reservations? I am going in 12/09 and want to get a early time in MK this time!!!

We loved it last year. We took our own Princess Dresses and only paid $50. It was great! I am really glad I did it because this year Annabelle says "Princess are for Babies" Sniffle sniffle...Moms having a hard time with that...at least I still have one little Princess left.

Here is a link to our Disney Pics from Last year and our BBB trip....

We were there on 8/29 as well. DD(5) loved it. She kept the crown & bun in until we got home late Sat night. Sunday evening we took the bun out and Monday we washed her hair. Ariana always complains that I pull her hair when I brush, and she didn't complain once about the FGiT. I was shocked.

Got any pics to share?

We bought a Cinderella dress from out local Disney store that was just over the top, it had way more embellisments on it and was actually fancier than the high priced Cinderella dress at BBB. My DH waited ever so patiently for our DD to get just perfect and when the fairy god mother was finished my DD asked her could she sprinkle some pixie dust on daddy too. She said why yes we can do that and with a wave of her wand daddy was sprinkled with pixie dust. Daddy looked up sheepishly!
