Dresses at the Disney Store

I noticed yesterday they have spring dresses at the Disney Store. I think I may do BBB, but bring our own dress, but not a costume dress. I can't imagine that being comfy in June!

My 3 yr old daughter loved it. We are going to bring her again in December, but this time we bought the dress in the Disney Store. The dresses are on sale now.

My daughter did the Hanna Montana Experience last January and had a blast! The photo session was awesome. Now, just 7 months later she hates hanna Montana, but I do treasure that photo! We are doing the Pirate makeover when we head back in September.

We did this last August and she loved it. We also brought a dress from home (it was much better quality than the dresses they had.) Since it was hot out, she only wore her dress during our Princess Lunch at Epcot, otherwise she wore a cute little outfit that said "princess" on the shirt. I guess I didn't realize that people plan on wearing the dresses ALL day, and I was suprised (and felt bad) for some of the little girls we saw. It was really hot, and they were wearing the whole outfit (including the plastic shoes- which doesn't seem like it would be very comfortable.) We will definitely bring our own dress again and just throw it in the backpack until she's ready to wear it.

She wants to do it again, and I didn't think $50 was too terrible. Our son also did the "cool dude" package, I think it was $10, but he wasn't thrilled to be involved in it at all, so I think he'll skip the fun next time.

I think there will be no problem if you bring a dress from home. A tip I read somewhere else was to buy a new costume complete with wand and tiara and put in your bags without lketing her know, then take to BBB dress them up and do the basic package (hair and nail). the photos you can take with your own camera or use photopass. They will love the present and it will definitelly cost much less then the full package!!!!

We did it for my daughter....she LOVED it. We actually just decided to call and see if we can get her in last minute when we go this month. We brought a dress from home. SUCH A GOOD IDEA!!!!! And the CM give them special attention and call them princess. Its great. After she was done at BBB we headed to MK and ate lunch at Cosmic Rays (we love it there) and they blocked off a special table for us and even stocked us up with all the condiments and extras we needed....its was awesome!!

I think I saw somewhere a long time ago that BBB offers Birthday sashes for such an occasion, does anyone know if this is true?

Yes they do. My DD got a birthday one last year when she had it done on her birthday.

Yep they do. When I was making DD's appointment they asked me if she was celebrating her bday or if she was going to get a regular princess sash.

Two questions. First, what is the photo package? Is it only available with the most expensive package, can it be purchased seprately? Second, do we tip fairy godmothers, and if so, how much? Am doing the package for my 4 (yes, 4) princesses in 3 weeks. Only the little one is dressing up, and we are bringing 12 costumes from home, we will decide that day what to wear!! God help me, am not sure I am going to make it thru this. Any advice you guys can give will be appreciated.

I know a few people have commented in here that they brought something other than the princess dress for their children to wear during the day (which we did and then she just wore her dress during the princess lunch), and we were just at the Disney store and I saw the cutest outfits and thought about you all. I specifically noticed the glitter skirt (they had pink for Aurora and white for Cinderella, I didn't notice any other colors.) Just thought I'd pass it on, I believe they are 25% off right now as well.

The photo package comes with the expensive package, however you can go up to the place where they do the pics and they will take pics. Now I don't know exactly how this works if you have to use your own camera or the photopass people will take the pics, but I've heard other people have been able to get pics done. There are photographers taking pics the entire time the girls are being transformed and you will get a photopass card for each of them. If you pre order the CD you will have lots of pics of the whole time.

I think they are on sale right now for $18.99 (and then the little t-shirts that match are somethng like $14.99.) It's not the cheapest outfit, but then again neither is the BBB I thought it's a cute alternative to wearing an actual princess dress the whole day for anyone who is interested...

Are these the little pink tulle skirts with the tshirts that have a bow? If so, I am headed there today!
