I think as long as she is tall enough she would be fine on all of them. The only ride that I would have a second thought about would be Splash Mountain although if DS was tall enough and really wanted to ride I would probably give in. The others I would let him ride in a hearbeat

It really depends on the kid's personality, and their height Some will ride pretty much anything at 4 years old, and some will be afraid of everything! It's all about trial and error. My DS7 LOVED all those rides when he was 4, and he is very tall, so he actually met the height requirement for every ride at WDW.....but obviously at age 4 we used a lot of discretion as parents and knew which ones he could handle, and which ones were appropriate. I would NEVER put my 4 year old on Mission Space, or RnRC, or ToT, things like that. But all those you mentioned, he really enjoyed. Now, at age 7 his imagination has run away with him, and fear has set in quite a bit, and believe it or not, there are rides that he hesitates on, or won't ride now, that he would when he was 4! again, it's all about trial and error, and the last thing you want to do is terrorize them, or make them miss out on something they might love - so just follow their lead, and also warn them of things that might be too turbulent or scary for them

My 4 YO wasn't tall enough to ride any of those except Barnstormer (which he loved). I'd start with that one, and if it goes well, I'd try the other ones!!

My son was 3½ years old on our trip last summer and he rode Soarin which he absolutely loved. He also rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad but was a little scared. I'd definitely wouldn't put him on Splash Mountain up until he's like 6 years old even if he has the height. I think Test Track would be fine also.

My girls turned 4 during our January vacation this year. They road all of the above except Test Track. Plus they rode and loved Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. First check to see if he/she is tall enough for any of the above. My girls were almost 41". Their favourite ride in the whole trip was Soarin'. We showed them the big drop at Splash Mountain before riding it, plus had already ridden other things by then. They ended up going on it again the next time we were in MK. Before riding anything, I explained to them what to expect, and talked to them throughout. I agree with the suggestion too about working up to the bigger rides. As my girls gained confidence in the smaller ones, they were prepared for the bigger ones.

OK cool .. She is 40 inchs now at 3 and 4 months.... so I know she tall enough for all of them. I really dont think she would like TT .. I didnt but I think the thoughts of what if this thing come of the track what would it do to us LOL ..... BUT I think she will like the others. Mom2 twins you thought same as me I thought at each ride I would explain to her and see if she wanted to and if she did and I was confident it wouldnt scare her to death I will let her hehe....
Like tower of terror HECK ( hope that not a bad word to anyone ) I wont get on it LOL
Thanks so much for your answers

My older son was 4 on our last trip. We started with the tamer rides & worked up. First was Barnstormer, then the Mts in MK (Splash, BTMR & he was tall enough for Space Mt which he loved), then we tried Soarin' & Test Track. At DHS he did Star Tours. I decided against ToT. He rode Dinosaur & EE but was scared of both, so I wish we would have skipped those too.

He watched several shows on the Travel Channel so he was familiar with the rides & we also looked up some on youtube.

My younger son was 3 yrs old on that trip & 40" tall but does not like big rides so he did not try any of these. He is more of a Carousel type of guy

I have taken all of my kids when they were 4. In December, DS2 was 4. Here are his thoughts on your list:

1. Star tours - liked it
2. Soar'n - LOVED IT!!!
3. Splash Mountain - didn't ride because it was too cold.
4. Barnstormer - LOVED IT!!!
5. Test Track - LOVED IT!!!

I didn't take him on Big Thunder Mountain RR. I was worried about him hating it and then being scared/difficult the remainder of our trip.

Happy Planning!

When my DS was 4, he wasn't tall enough for any of those listed except for Barstormer, and he says he can't wait to ride it again! I'm really excited though, because he will be tall enough for most of the rides this year!

I have a little dare devil 4 year old and she rode anything we would let her. All the roller coasters, except Space Mt. and Rockin' Roller Coaster - she was too short. She rode Tower of Terror twice, Barn Stormer until we could not take it anymore, Big Thunder Mt., etc. No fear! She is so much fun!

So let her ride what she wants to ride, she may like it or she may not but let her try.

Have fun!!!!

Gabby and Michael rode everything last year, except the big mountains and RNRC and ToT. We just never made it to Splash or BTMRR and I refuse to let a child under 7 ride ToT or RNRC.

If yourchild is tall enough and wants to ride go ahead. My daughters were tall so they could pretty much ride anything but RNR and I think SM at that age. The only thing is that if you are scared to ride the child is going to pick up on it. So if you don't like the ride skip it or send her with another adult.

Also, the Splash Mountain drop looks terrible but in reality is not very scary.

Have fun.
