To bring or not to bring?
To rent or not to rent?
To buy there or not to buy there?
These are the questions. I LOVE our stroller, it's a Phil & Ted's E3 double. but I also fancy the idea of just leaving it home and renting one from the parks or a company in FL when we get there.
The biggest issue is the stroller is our daughters "safe place" she has special needs and it calms her and can be a way that she can regroup and possibly last longer when things go south.
What are the strollers at Disney like for riding do you find your kids like them? It just would seem to be so much easier to just rent one even though it's an added cost.
When we go to other resorts & DTD though we won't have the rental right so what do we do then.

We've always brought our own from home. Lightweight umbrella strollers, or similar. They've come in handy outside the resorts, in the airport, and have saved us a bunch of money!
If you bring your own stroller, you will have the luxury of having it when you walk around the resort, the airport, DTD, and everywhere else including the parks, not to mention it is the stroller your daughter is familiar with. When my boys were little we always brought our own from home, and it worked out great - not to mention saved us a lot of money.
We brought a stroller from home (lightweight umbrella type) and on the second day, my DH had a "disagreement" with it and it broke. We contemplated the renting vs buying debate and ended up spending the money to buy the stroller which turned out to be worth its weight in gold. Very durable and has subsequently become useful to others that I've lent it to. We will be bringing it with us when we go again in August, plus we will have a full size travel system stroller since we'll have our little one with us. If it isn't too much of a hassle to bring it, I would bring your own and save yourselves the $$$$ each day on renting.
I think if your DD knows your stroller and it is her "safe place" then bringing
it makes sense. Add to that the cost involved and it only makes sense to bring
yours.
From what you have said about it being your daughter's safe place, I would take yours with you.
I agree 100%....take your own.
edited to add...I love the "fake" poopy diaper idea....take one diaper, pour a little dark colored pop on it, put it in a bag tied to the handle of the stroller...makes me giggle to just think about it!

Reason: to add something
Back when I needed a stroller, I always brought my own. I never had a problem losing it. They are moved all over the stroller parking areas. You will have to look around to find the stroller when you get out of the attraction. One year at MGM, I just parked the stroller in the Muppets parking and left it there for HOURS! DD was fine walking and I was tired of pushing and nothing happened to it. I did leave sweatshirts and a pir of sandals in a bag on the stroller and nothing happened to them either. I would not leave anything valuable in the stroller.
I vote for bringing your own as well. You take it through airport security with you and get a tag on it at the gate. You will "gate" check it and it will be in the same place when you get to the next airport. (You leave it just outside the plane on the jetway when you board and when you de-plane, it will be right there as well) Then you have it for use in both airports. But I know nothing about the cost with all the new fees.
Have a great trip

Another vote for bringing your own. You have it at the airport, in the resorts and when you leave the park + no cost + no lost time to rent and drop off.
I think all airlines allow free gate checking, but make sure with whomever you are flying with.
We had no problems with anyone taking the stroller or anything in it. In fact one day we left a big bag of things we had purchased hanging on the back of the stroller while we rode a couple of rides in a row and everything was there when we came back.
We tie a colorful ribbon or a balloon to the stroller to make finding it easier when we're there with our grandkids. We have never had a problem with leaving it (although sometimes the CMs will move the strollers to another stroller area closeby), and have left sweaters, diaper bags, etc. in the basket.

With the price of stroller rentals ($15/day for singles and $31/day for doubles), it just makes a lot more sense!
I agree. The cost factor alone was one of the major reasons we decided to bring our own. Plus we were able to use it at Sea World (didn't have to rent one there) and at DTD. We drove but DH took the stroller apart - it's a double jogger - to take up less space. I made a stroller tag to attach to the stroller.
We loved having our own stroller. I'm pretty sure when we go next year we will be getting a smaller stroller next time (provided we can find one that we like and has the features we want) instead of taking the big stroller.
