| April 17-24 2010 trip - how crowded?? Hi everyone, I need some advice. We just got back from Disney (May 10-17) and had a wonderful time. Crowds were very manageable & the weather was great. It was so great, that I'm now planning a trip for next year! Only catch is that we need to do it during our school vacation week (my husband is starting a job as a teacher, so we're stuck w/school breaks - bummer!) We live in Massachusetts, and spring break is April 19th-23rd (thankfully it's not around Easter, which is April 4th). How crowded will it be? We went one year in March, and I swore I would NEVER do that again. Am I looking at the same level of crowds during that week in April? |

| I would like some input on this as well because we are looking at going after our spring break for our lo's bdays (April 15 & 17). We want to be there April 14-21. We've been the end of May and in September before. Both decent times to be there. I'm a little worried about these dates though. |

| Since that's a big vacation week in the Northeast, it will still be crowded, but not as bad as Easter! We went one year around the 14th thru the 21st, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (Easter was in March that year).

| We were there 27 April-4 May this year, which should be relatively the same crowd-wise as they're both two weeks after Easter. Touring plans seemed to be right on with the trend...the weekdays were pretty light, but got pretty crowded on the weekends. I've never gone at a peak time, so for me, it was more than I expected...but so long as we were there at rope drop, we got in all the major stuff before lunch, took a break in the afternoon when it was extra crazy and sometimes returned in the evening. It was definitely more crowded than my previous experiences during the first few weeks of December and September...for me, I'm purposefully not going next during this time because crowds really wear on me with the little kids. It's just obviously a lot more enjoyable to walk on to everything and we have no scheduling issues since our kids aren't in school yet, so it just makes sense. If this is when you HAVE to go, I wouldn't worry, crowds are not that bad and would be way better than your previous trip in March. I'm leaning towards switching our trip to October, though it is paining me to think of a countdown of 465+ days...ugh! April probably ranks somewhere in the middle crowd wise and our weather was great! Warm enough to really enjoy the pools, but not too hot in the parks and it's before the rainy season. I apologize for rambling...just my opinions. |

| You're so far from Easter it should be fine. I imagine most schools will be back in. The parks won't be empty, but they won't be packed either. Keep in mind that grad nights start around then but that should only effect what park you go to that day, little else. If you have an Unofficial Guide or access to the Touring Plans website, check out their crowd calendar. It goes that far in advance. It might change a bit (due to things like promotions, for example), but I generally find it really accurate. |

| We went April 19-26 this year. We found the crowds to be quite reasonable. We always take Tourguide Mike's advice on best days so that could be a factor too. Compared to other times we have visited the world (August, Oct) this was the best yet as far as weather goes. I am a teacher as well so I am limited to school vacations.

| I am from Mass as well and was thinking of going during April vacation as well. I spoke to a travel agent and she said April vacation is busy but not as busy as Feb. vacation. And it doesn't Fall on Easter so that is a good week to go. |
