| First I want to thank everyone that gave me Gift Basket advice. I decided to make activity books for our younger guests. I don't like to carry much in the parks though so putting that into the mix this is what I came up with. I am printing 4x6 cards and then punching holes and attaching to an "O" ring that they can attach to belt loops or back packs. I am also giving them pens that can be worn. Each packet is color coded for the four main parks. I used a variety of my books and came up with sections for Hidden Mickeys, Scavenger Hunts, Trivia Questions and Lost Photo Scavenger Hunts. For Epcot we removed the Trivia Section and Added a Passport stamp and Learn a phrase cards for them. In the back of the packet I added a "Keep Busy in Line" section with four games we use, Name that Song, Singing Bee, Alphabet search (find things that begin with the letters) and What's my character 20 questions. I have the first packet done for a 7 y/o girl. I am going to a slightly more challenging one for her 12 y/o brother and then make copies of his for 10 y/o twins that are frequent Disney visitors. Now that I have done 1/2 the work I want to make sure that they will enjoy them and that they are worth sending to Disney Floral to add to their baskets. We are also including snacks, water bottle and carrier, Penny Passporter with enough coins to get one at each park, and a mister fan. So let me know what you think? Would your kids like them? Any other in-line games? As always, Thank you for your opinions and advice, I wouldn't be able to plan this even without all of you! |

| Sounds fantastic - have you allocated any pages for autographs? My kids would love this, so I'm guessing your recipients will too! Hope your hard work and effort pays off.

| So, um, did you create this long-hand or is there an electronic file? B/c I don't think I'm the only one thinking, not only does that sound fantastic, but also ...and I'd love to have that for MY kids! If it is electronic, I'd love to see it. Lucky kids. They're going to have a fantastic trip. ![]()

| My dd's are 15 and 17 and have been in 2001 but we are traveling with a family for whom this is their first time (12 and 15). Your ideas sound WONDERFUL. I echo the wish for an electronic version if you have one!

| I may borrow your idea!! I definitely need to make sure I have tons of stuff for DD while she is waiting fro shows, parades, rides, etc... She loves doing workbooks at home, so I bet I could make up all kinds of little Disney puzzles, etc..

| More than happy to send file. I made the first one for a 7 y/o girl so the hidden Mickeys and trivia are on the easy end. I was gonna make a more challenging one for her 12 y/o brother. I got the clues and stuff from "Guide to the Magic, The Lost Journals", "Guide to the Magic for Kids" and "Hidden Mickeys, A Field Guide". I bought the 5x7 cards at Office Depot as well as the "o" ring. The file is a word doc set up to print on the cards. PM me if you would like it. Is there anywhere here to post it? Thanks for your encouragement. |

| First booklet done, printed, hole punched and attached to ring. I loved the idea of using different colored cards for different parks but it didn't come out so great for the lost photos so wouldn't recommend that. Other than that, I think it's great and now get to start a more challenging version for older kids. The file is way to big to attach so again if anyone wants it please PM me and I will send it to you! |
