| proof of age? There's a good possibiltiy that we will be going to MK the day before DD turns 3, has anyone ever been questioned about their child's age or had to show proof? DD is pretty tall for her age and probably looks a little older than 2. Should I just bring her birth certificate? Is a copy good enough? Or in the spirit of Disney will they just take my word for it? We'll be coming the next day on her birthday and using her free admission, which I assume I'll need her birth certificate for anyhow.

| We took DD when she was 2 and turning 3 in about 6 weeks. She is also quite tall. Not one question or problem with parks, meals, or anything at all! We have never been on a b-day so not sure how that works.

| I've never been asked, and twice we've been right at the border of age 3. I had a copy of the birth certificate in the bottom of my diaper bag anyway, but was never questioned. I think it's on the honor system. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm *pretty* sure that if on day one of your trip, she's 2 years old, then she's free for the rest of the trip??? I thought I remembered reading that from other people's posts?

| Thanks everyone! I had horrible visions of arguing her age at the gate while everyone assumed I was lying

| I thought that if you were going to be getting anything for the 'what will you celebrate' than you needed proof of your birthday. And that a copy of the birth certificate was not sufficient, that it had to be the original or certified. Also, during our next visit, my dd will be turning 3. Does that mean that when I book, I should say that she is 2? I'm not sure what to do about that! |

| We were told by a CM, granted a server but still a CM, that Disney will NEVER ask a child's age. She even went on to tell us to sneak them in after they turn 3 and say they're 2, but we won't go into that... And I also remember hearing or reading that if they are 2 at the start of the trip than in Disney's eyes they are 2 for the entire trip, so you wouldn't have to pay for any tickets at all for them. |

| Playjar is totally right, they will not ask an age or question the parent. I know someone who has lied to get an older child in for free (the child is very small for their age) and no one questioned them. My kids are very tall for their age so I don't have the exact same problem as Suzie&Jay, I take the birth cert in case they question that he is older than he is. I would never lie in front of my child to get in for free or at a child rate instead of adult, it just isn't worth it to me. OK I'll get off my soap box now. ![]()

| Under three is free. I am on my third trip with a 2 year old and once they turn three you will have to purchase a ticket for them. That being aside from the above posts stating that if they start the trip at 2 then they are 2 the entire trip.
