| Bed Rails? Do the resorts have bed rails upon request? I am wondering since my ds who will be 18 months when we go in October does not prefer to sleep in a pack n play. We try it, but usually he ends up in bed with me and dh will hop in the other bed or couch to not disturb ds. Bed rails would be awesome so that we can lay him down in the bedroom and sit out in the living room of our villa or balcony if we are not ready to go to sleep yet. |

| Its just something about those darn pack n plays, I can get him started in it but he will eventually wake up and want out. For one, they aren't very comfortable and I think they move when he moves and when he rubs up against the mesh they are noisy. When we went to Disney last Dec, I tried the first night and after that, ds was in bed with me, we just put pillows on his other side, he was 8 months at the time. |

| SHe has never liked it. We went to Pigeon Forge for the July 4th weekend and she wouldnt sleep in one so she slept with her me one night and her brother the other night and when we came back she wouldnt sleep in her crib at home either so we had to change her crib into the toddler bed already. But she is 2 so its not that bad but it can get a little annoying cause she doesnt know who she wants to sleep with when we are at a hotel room. We were at Pigeon Forge this weekend and she did the same thing. Well Friday night she didnt sleep at all but Saturday she finally slep with one of her brothers. |

| One good thing is ds still likes his crib. We do alot of weekends at the beach and since we don't have a crib there, he ends up in bed but when we go back home, its back to the crib. |

| I think I'm correct in saying that "bed rails" can be requested at any resort. We had an "unfortunate" experience in 2006 when DD was 2. She was fine sleeping in her own bed at home (had been in a bed since she was 18mths or so with zero problems) but she managed to fall out of bed during our stay despite extra pillows on either side of the bed (we didn't know about being able to request "bed rails" at the time). The beds at Disney are (in our experience) quite high. End result was a very startled young lady and a black eye (which cleared quite quickly thankfully!).

| Yes you can request the bed rails on your ressie. My DD(2) would still be sleeping in her crib if she hadn't broken it this past weekend. However she will stillsleep in her pack n' play when we travel. I bought a pack n' play mattress pad that makes the pad not as hard and use it under the fitted sheet.

| Yes you can request them. We've used them on our last 2 trips to WDW. They work on the beds and we also managed to get it to work on the pull out day bed.

| My DS will be 20 months when we go and he moves SOOOOOOO much when he sleeps....being in bed with us was never ever ever an option. I would be so afraid to do a bed with bed rails..he'd never stay in it for one thing, and even if he did fall asleep, he'd roll to the end and fall off. Pack n Play is a must for us...but he's starting to climb out of it now....I might get a net to cover it so hopefully it will deter him from trying to climb out. I have a while yet...I plan on getting him used to it before we go...putting him in it for naps and then at night to sleep too.

| My ds has always been really good with sleeping in bed. When he was an infant, I would fall asleep with him on top of me (yes I know, a big no no) but when a baby doesn't sleep well in his bassinet or crib, you do what you have to do!! He never budged though. As he got older, if he was having a bad night or not feeling well, we would let him sleep with us. He is a cuddler, so he is usually right up against me and most of the time has my arm behind him almost like I am holding him. That is how he likes to sleep! When we went to Disney last year he was 8 months old. We put pillows on the one side and I slept on the other. I made him a little space in the middle with one of his blankets to lay on and other than flopping back and forth a few times from belly to back or side, he did great. He moves around his crib quite a bit, but in bed, we haven't had any problems. I think I am going to request the bed rails for extra safety especially since I know we don't have much luck with pack n plays! I actually have a portable crib mattress that we put in the pack n play for extra comfort but it doesn't make any difference. I get much better sleep if I just put him in bed! For those of you who have gotten the bed rails, do they put the bed rails on ahead of time or do you have to put them on? Do they drop down or stay up the whole time? |

| We have requested bedrails in the past & they were on the bed when we got there. We did move them to a different bed though without problem. I can not remember if they lowered or not. My kids have also enjoyed sleeping in the pull out sofa in villas & the arm rests work well to help them stay in the bed & are much lower to the ground. Also, I know you said your little one does not like pack & plays but Mousekeeping always made up the pack & plays nicely with a sheet that made it feel more like a bed.

| They delivered the bed rails to us after we checked in the last time, but they are easy to put on the beds. I think they stay up the whole time.

| Yes bed rails are not a problem...we requested them at Animal Kingdom last year and they were installed quickly and we were happy not to have to worry about the kids sleeping arrnagments. |

| Cool, thanks guys! I think I am definately going to request them and then we will just see how it goes. I think ds doesn't like being so low to the ground in the pack n play and the noise they make when he moves around in it, they jiggle a bit. He didn't sleep in one much as an infant, next to never, so he has never really cared for it! He would be in bed with me, so a bed rail on just one side would be perfect. My little man likes to cuddle, he is usually right next to me. |

| I'd like to have bed rails for my three year old also. Should I call and make a request to my ressie or will I be fine waiting to ask for them when I arrive?
