In-Room Babysitting or Kid's Club

We're looking to spend a couple hours away from the kids during our upcoming trip. Would you recommend the In-room babysitting service or try to get into one of the kid's clubs?

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. We have 3 kids are Dh and me are going to Narcoosee's one night for dinner. If we do the in room childcare we would leave all 3 of them for the sitter but if we do one of the clubs DD2 will have to go to dinner with us. Although I would love to get one of my family members who lives an hour away to come over and stay with them but not sure if I could do that.

If your children are old enough I would say use the childcare centres in the designated hotels. Sandcastles at Yacht and Beach Club is wonderful and Neverland is wonderful at Poly.
I have heard great things about the inroom babysitting, but I have never used it.

I can tell you first hand that the kids clubs have the children begging to return!!!

You will appreciate the free time and they will have tons of fun!!!!

Yep. I'm with Shannon. We did in room and it was fine, especially when the kids were too young for the clubs. But they LOVED spending the evening at Simba's at AKL. Depends, really, on how old the kids are, and to a lesser extent, how many (cost factor).

We did the kids club at BCV. They really enjoyed the sandcastel club and asked to go back while we were there and are asking now to go back next time. I was a little nervous to leave them alone with a sitter in the room, they were almost 4 & 5. It's just my own fears, but I've only heard good things about in room babysitting, and I can assure you the kids clubs are great.
I have to say that if they were older I probably would be more comfortable leaving them in the room with a sitter.
Good luck with your decision, I know I struggled with mine, but now I'm glad I went with the kids club.

My 10 year old dd is very shy and since her only sibling is 28 she has no one to be with. It would be nice if she would go to the center though.

When I went with my 2 and 3yo. I had fairy godmothers come and watch them a couple of times. They were wonderful. They came with toys for them and took them around the resort to play and my girls had a good time. That was the first and only time they had someone other than family watch them. Disney recommended them so I trusted them and I would use them again.
