| 3-1/2 yr old...can she goes to kid's club? Hi, This is my first time going to Disney. My dd is 3-1/2, can she go to kid's club. It seems that 4 yr old is the minimum. My gf told me to just bring her and say that she is four. But I am not so sure. My DD is in daycare and since she is in a special language immersion program, she is with kids 3-5 anyway, so I am not worry about her maturity. What would you do?

| Not really sure. Is she potty trained? I think that is the big thing with the kids clubs. *Edit, have you looked into the in room sitting? Sounds like a good idea!

| Yes, she has been potty trained since she is two. That's definitely not a problem. Do they have any height requirements? My DD is a peanut in size. Do they need to see birth certificate?

| Remember that there are also children MUCH older than 3-5 at the kid clubs. Personally, the rules are there for a reason. How about one of the in-room sitting services? There are no height requirements. There are video games, and playthings for the kids. They can color too. There is dinner, and a movie later at night.

| Because of the way the clubs are licensed by the state of Florida, your child must be 4 in order to use the club. There are in-room baby sitting services that are an option. Kids Nite Out (800-696-8105), Fairy Godmothers (407-275-7326), and All About Kids (407-812-9300) are all sanctioned by Disney.

| State law requires a different ratio for children under 4, than for children 4 or older. Most likely nothing would come of it; but it could cause more problems than you want also.....

| My dd was/is extremely smart and observant and if she heard me telling someone she was 4 and she really wasn't...she would have piped up right away and told them she was 3! They absorb everything at that age and I wouldn't want them thinking that lying to get what you want is the right thing to do...KWIM???

| I agreed with all of you.. My DD would pipe up right away too. And fact is, this is our first trip with her in Disney, I am not really interested in having her with someone else. DH was just hoping that we can have a couple hours for a nice 11 yr anniversary dinner. Oh well...there's always next year, especially now that we are DVC. Thanks for your help!

| You know, we did use the in-room sitter when my dd was too young for the clubs and it was fine. I was totally paranoid about leaving my kid with a "stranger", which is why we chose center care rather than in-home care for our regular needs at home...one of the reasons I was willing to try it was b/c it was recommended by Disney and I figure they must have some pretty stringent requirements. The other big reason was, at 3.5 (my dd was just a little shy of the cut-off too), I figured she was verbal and would tell us if something was hinky--not an easy victim, you know? The lady who came was lovely, a grandmother, and she just played and read and watched tv with the kids in the room, and got them to bed on time. The scheduler even matched us up with a woman "from home", when she heard we were from Nova Scotia she said, "oh, Mary's from there, too, she'll like to meet you..." That said, if you decide to wait for another year, I totally get that too. My dd and ds went to Simba's at 4 and 6, and LOVED it; they are going again next week. (Next week, did you hear that?? ) The joys of an adult evening at the world are considerable. The first time we went to Epcot "unencumbered", the second time we just wandered around AKL and ate dinner. This time we're trying out Sanaa at the AKL, and the whole family is looking forward to the evening.
