| What all have you done to get the ready? We've been going to WDW nearly exclusively for the last 10 years, but mostly since 2002. My dh and I have taken the kids, nieces/nephews several time, and I've taken them by myself several times. I always do stuff at home to build the excitement, but having been on so many trips since 6/02 I'm having a hard time remembering what all stuff I have done! My current trip I have planned with a child is still a surprise. Gabby doesn't know anything about the trip in March, and I'm hoping to keep it a secret for a while longer. We have conversations that usually include the saying "if we sneak off to Disney sometime" What have you done to get your kids ready? If I make a countdown chain, it's a dead give away.

| There is a gal on another site who was taking her sisters. Each weekend they watched a different movie and had a themed dinner and activity. Like for Pochahontas they "painted with the colors of the wind" bny blowing paint through straws ect. SUPER cute and creative ideas. |

| I'm going in March too with my 7 year old. He doesn't know so far, and I want to keep it that way I think. I'm debating when to tell him: a week out, that weekend before we leave, or just showing up at the airport, and seeing if he can figure it out from our destination. My grandparents surprised me and my sister with a trip to Disneyland (via a 2 hour cartrip) when I was his age, and I figured it out when we passed a sign maybe 15 miles away. It was the best surprise, and I'd like to recreate it for him. On the other hand, he's been saying he'd love to go to Disneyworld every month or so since this summer. He's only been once back when he was barely 4, and doesn't remember anything except for having fun and the Buzz Lightyear ride. What have I done to prep for it? I made a few dining reservations, found our lanyards and picked up some extra pins to trade, and I've been putting together some items to pack for on the plane & to play with while waiting for shows. Michaels craft store has some Disney games and craft items in a $1 stocking stuffer section right now, and I think I read on another forum that Target had some Disney things in their $1 section as well. I hope you have a wonderful trip whatever you decide! Beth |
