| MVMCP with small children? Hello, We are headed to Disney World in November and are giving serious consideration to attending MVMCP on one of the nights. Our children are 8, 5, and 3 years old and I'm a little concerned that they might not be able to stay up that late after a day in the parks. I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't so expensive to attend... we figured it would cost something like $240 for the five of us. Those of you with young children: have you done this? Did it prove to be "worth it" relative to what you spent? My main concern is that the kids will only stay up for the first hour and a half, then conk out in the stroller and miss the rest of the festivities. And $240 is a lot to spend for an hour's entertainment! What has your experience been with this? I really appreciate your help and comments. TIA Jen |

| Took DGD3 last December. She loved it. We took a nap midday that day. She did fine staying up, but I knew she would after having a nap. You know your kids. She loved the hot chocolate and cookies, snow on main street, dancing with the wicked step sisters, riding dumbo at night(4 times), the parade, the castle covered in "ice" and just the whole atmosphere. It was well worth the price for us.

| I took my sons last year, 3 and 1 to the halloween party and they stayed up the whole time. We did take it easy that day if I remember correctly by just hanging out at the pool. This year we are doing MK that day, but at a slow pace since we'll be back later that evening. I think if you plan your day accordingly, get a nap in, you'll be just fine |

| I've never gone (but we hope to) and thought that if DD was still naping then she would take a later nap after having an easy day at the resort. That way she would be ready to go and not tired. You know your kids best.

| We did it twice. I think the kids were 5 and 2, and then 6 and 3. They lasted until about 10:30, 11:00. It was still a good time.

| We've done it with our oldest (age 7) for two years in a row. The first time, he did really well. The second time, we left at about 7:30. The big difference between the two times was the first time, we didn't go to the parks that day. The second time we were in the parks most of the day and he was exhausted by the time the party rolled around. It's really a lot of fun and if you don't mind spending the money, then by all means do it. But if I were looking for ways to trim the budget, MVMCP would be the first thing I would cut. In fact, we're not going this December.

| I think it is great. The parade alone is worth it. Just make sure they got a nap to be up for it.

| Thanks so much to all of you who responded! I think we're going to take a pass on MVMCP for this year... the day we would be going is the day we'd be traveling to Disney. With an 8AM flight, we'd have to be up by 6 and traveling can be exhausting. I think the kids (or maybe the adults) will be toast by then... Perhaps we'll go during our next visit. Thanks again, Jen |

I think that's a smart plan. We made the mistake of doing the Halloween party on our first night on last year's trip and we were all bushed (even though we took a short nap!!) and not familiar with the park yet. Have a great time on your trip!

| I think you made a smart decision. We went last year and had such a great time at MVMCP. But we slept in that day and hung by the pool until it was time for the party. Have a great trip.
