Question Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique questions [cost + experiences?]

My DD will be going to the BBB for the first time in Dec. for her 6th birthday. I had inquired with a friend about the cost since her daughter went a few years ago. She told me the cost was around $350 . I then started looking for my own princess dress to take thinking that would cut down the cost. But when I booked her appointment, I asked the nice CM about the cost, she advised me the castle package would be around $202. For those of you that have experienced the BBB with your DD, could you please tell me how much it costs. I also would appreciate any advice or tips you could share with me so I can be sure my DD has a wonderful experience! Thanks

They have a range. The castle package is 189.95 plus tax. We have done that one plus the basic, they were both fun and regardless what you choose they make her feel special!
Here is a link to the official site with the prices!

We are going for the FIRST time in August. I have 3 DDs.

I booked the "Courtyard" package which is about $90 for all three of them. It includes a Tutu and a T-shirt, so no pressure on buying a dress while there.

I need to know EXACTLY how much I am going to spend while we are there so I don't have any surprises.

We also are doing the Photo Pass Plus so that we can get all the pics of the BBB experience.

Thats my plan. I hope it helps.

Do not spend all that money on the top tier packages. If you want to save money buy your own dress and bring it with you. Then only get her hair, nails, and makeup done it is the crown package and it is $59.95. Here is a link with more information.

I have 3 DD's and we brought their princess dresses (bought at the Disney Store during the Halloween clearance sales!) with us and just did the crown package. They loved the entire experience and I bought the Photo Pass cd for that trip so I also took them for the photo session afterwards since I knew those photos would be on the cd. I got some really precious pictures of the three of them together and individually. We also got some great photos from the Photo Pass photographer in the rose garden.

They got lots of attention all day, CM's calling them princess, your majesty, etc. and they ate it all up. We took an afternoon break and they all wanted to go swimming so the makeup didn't last long but I would still say it was worth the price.

I would definately recommend bringing your own dress and just doing the $50-60 package. (the $50 package doesn't do nails) My daughter has done this three times now and loves all of the attention both in the park and salon. There is no pressure to buy the $200 package. The only difference between the two is that the more expensive package includes all of the dress up stuff (shoes, dress, tiara, etc.) If you bring your own dress and wear your own shoes, you will save a lot of money, but still have all the fun!!

Before our last trip I bought a dress for my niece at the Disney store. She looked really cute and we were able to save money.

When my youngest daughter (then 9) and my grand daughter (then 3) did it, I made their dresses and it was only about $50 each for the hair, make up and nails. he Photopass photographers took pictures while the makeover was going on, and then we did our own photos afterwards. Saved our money..

Plus the dresses I made were of cotton and they were able to wear them in the park all day. Those scratchy dresses they sell at the castle are not made for the whole day!

My DD did the top package. For us it end up worthing the $. We booked for the last day and during the visit at the parks whenever she asked for a shoe/crown/costume we answered she'd get it all at the end. Therefore we saved on buying a lot of souvenirs.
At the day she choose the dress, shoe, crown and wand matching the desired princess. Got her hair, make up and nails done. It also included a photo package that we loved it!

Planning a BBB experience for my granddaughter ( age 6). My question is...is there any difference in quality for the dresses at the Disney Store vs BBB? I noticed that If I purchase a Disney Store dress, shoes, wand, & crown on their internet store, even if I add in $30 for a photo pkg, there's still like $85 difference in price between the big pkg vs the makeup, nails hair pkg. What on earth can they be giving you that is worth that? Is it a higher quality costume? Any ideas? I want her to have the best, but I don't want to spend $85 more than I need to. Could use that to take her somewhere else!

Yes, usually the costume is a bit higher quality, but not enough to justify the $85 price difference in my opinion. We have always brought our own dresses. Usually I can get the same dress they sell in the parks off ebay for about $30 cheaper.

We are taking my DD (4) to BBB for the 1st time in october. We are doing the $59 package (hair,make-up,nails)As far as the quality you can get the same quality dresses in the disney store/disney outlets for about $40. In fact I actually went on Ebay and bought my DD her Ariel ballgown for BBB for $39. It was new w/ tags still on it and it is the same exact one you buy in the parks. I plan to get some cute little shoes at payless or Kmart. They always carry cute little sparkly shoes for girls. i think the shoes in the parks look uncomfortable but thats just an opinion. I think its more the experience. You may also find some cute princess dresses on a halloween costume website too.

Thanks for the info. The quality of the dress was the issue I wanted resolved. This little princess has been through some tough stuff and my husband and I want her to have the perfect experience, no matter what it costs. That big smile on her face is what I'm aiming for. Thanks again everyone!
