| We can't imagine staying anywhere else! We just got back from five days (May 18-23) at POR and we loved it! We stayed at the Acadia House on the second floor with a view of the river. One of the things we like best about POR (this isn't our first time staying there) is the theme. The landscaping and architecture fit together so well, it seems you're ina different world. Mousekeeping always arranged our grandsons' stuffed animals in unique and interesting ways and he looked forward to seeing them each time we came "home". Ths staff was very polite and seemed to genuinely care about all the guests. We also enjoy being able to take the boat to Downtown. It seems so much nicer and much more convenient then the busses.
As far as the busses went. We were pretty close to the north depot so the walk wasn't too bad and we were usually the second stop so the bus was not too crowded. WDW was busy while we were there but we never had to stand on the ride home from the parks. The only complaint I could have at all was the fact that the bus stops at the parks are quite a distance from the entrance to the parks. For a 2 1/2 year old it was quite a trek after a long day of Disney. I usually wound up carrying him which made it that much longer for me. But, that's not a refelction on the resort at all!
We have stayed there before and will likely stay there again. We also enjoys the camping trailers but, all things considered, POR represents the best of Disney at affordable prices! | | Author review | | MY OVERALL RATING [?] | | 10 | | Quality | | 8 | | Accessibility | | 8 | | Affordability | | 8 | | Theme | | 10 | | Amenities | | 10 | | Magic | | 10 | |
