Goofy's best time?

My family (kids 2, 5, 7) want to go to Goofy's Kitchen during our first DL visit and I have a question of when to go. I would like to do a character lunch or brunch but I am not sure of times and have read conflicting reports. We are getting to DL early that day (7:30 ugg!) and want to eat after we have explored a bit. What is a good time to eat lunch/brunch considering getting there when it is not mobbed and for better character interaction? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Hi and welcome to the boards!

We went for brunch one day at around 11.00 and we had a great time, although we did have to wait some time for some of the characters to come round. If that happens to you, be sure to have a word with your server or the character handler. We did that and they were great about sorting it out and getting the missing characters over to see us.

We have never ran into issues with our meals at Goofy's at anytime of the day. I agree with Cheryl in that if your table is not getting the characters to speak up, they will fix your experience right away! Goofy's is my favorite choice for a character meal at DLR

Went for dinner a couple years ago, not a lot of people so Goofy hung out at our table for most of the night.

We always go on Saturday night, when the crowds in the park are crazy! That way, we are still having character interaction, but not fighting hoards of people. We go annually in December, so the crowds are slightly less (but only slightly - ever since the 50th the crowds have not been "value" crowds...they even stopped selling tickets by noon one Saturday that year - we were very glad to be getting out of there for our dinner that day!)
