As I understand it you can bring unopened bottles of water or juice boxes with no problems. Also I am sure that snacks for very small children would be ok. But they frown on "coolers" of food and drink.

When I was at DL earlier this month, I was surprised at how many people were sitting in counter service seating eating sandwiches brought from home. Some of them would buy one meal or fries but pulled home made sandwiches out of a back pack. I think all but one couple had children, although not necessarily babies and toddlers.

I thought it was a better than the one mother I heard screaming at her kids "I know you're hungry but the food's too expensive." I think the good thing about DL is she could have left for an hour and taken then to a fast food restaurant or even kept a coooler in the car.

I always carry an apple or banana in my back back. I hav never been questionned.

We always take in bottles of water without a problem. We haven't taken sandwiches into the park for a few years now, but we do see lots of others eating food brought from home.
Disney would like you leave your food outside the park. There are lockers available outside the gates.

As to the laptop...how are you traveling to DL, where are you staying, and do you plan on taking it in the parks?

We pack our laptops in soft-sided laptop cases. While I didn't purchase mine there, I have seen them reasonably priced at Wal-Mart. Just check the thickness of the padding to make sure it is something that you would be happy with!

Hope this helps!!
