Question Blue Bayou for dessert only

I just made a PS for Blue Bayou for 11:30. We plan on only having dessert there. Has anyone else done that? Do they have a minimum order or will be otherwise have a problem with not ordering a meal?

I haven't personally done it (I the food too much), but I can't imagine there'd be a problem. I used to have a college roommate who always went mid-afternoon with her mom and had dessert and tea. Have fun!

I don't know of any Disney restaurant that has a minimum order, other than the buffets/character meals, because they don't want people sharing plates at a buffet.

Personally, if it's at a regular mealtime, I'd consider eating only dessert at Blue Bayou to be a waste of a hard-to-get reservation. But at slower times, what could be bad? It's always nice to let the host/hostess and your server know you're only interested in dessert, as a courtesy. Generally, they're not going to mind, especially at an off-hour, because eating only dessert means you'll also be leaving the table sooner. As long as they get the table back in a reasonable amount of time, everybody's making money.

But you fine out that you really want to stay in the cozy area (you think it is night time after while) and want to stay longer.

Hi we just got back from The Blue Bayou 10/08 We went there for dinner. I'm sorry to tell you that at dinner they have no dessert options and only 4 entrée options I had the short ribs which were very tender but had a sour sauce on them and very fatty ... just ( Not my cup of tea) Served with bitter asparagus and spinach. The bill came to $85 for 2 entrées and 1 ice tea. And I only had water to drink. So I don't know if dessert is an option for lunch but its not on the dinner menu as of Oct 08. I would call Disney dining and ask if they have a dessert only option because all over all the sit down menus is written "Split plate charge"

Good luck

I can now report that although the dessert selections are not printed on the menu, they are still offered. We ended up splitting one entree between the 4 of us and each ordering a dessert. It was all very yummy!

Ok sorry for the delay but portagethecat has done it already. I want to add that it seem there were only a few choices on the menu for lunch and they did have the Monte Cresto they add a few words to the title so you will not see right away but look for it and it is only on there for lunch.
