| Many years ago we did a special buffet at Goofy's Kitchen. At that time Pocahontas was the new movie (I told you it was a long time ago!). It remains one of our family's favorite Thanksgivings. We had Pocahontas, John Smith, Gov. Radcliff, Meeko, and all the usual characters at Goofy's, and the food was fantastic. I'd call the resort and see what's available, and book it. Many locals come to the resort for the day.

| We went to Goofy's Kitchen last year for Thanksgiving, and while the food was very good and we had an enjoyable time, upon exiting the restaurant (which is housed in the Disneyland Hotel), we heard a bunch of people raving about "the best Thanksgiving meal ever." We asked one of the cast members in the hallway to which other restaurant these folks were referring, and she let us know that it wasn't a restaurant at all, but the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom Thanksgiving Buffet (with characters!) down the hall. At the time of this updated post, there was only one reservation left (for a party of 5/6) due to a cancellation, but you can call Disney Dining in Southern California at 714-781-DINE (3463) to inquire about all of the options for a Thanksgiving meal at the Disneyland Resort, or to see if any other cancellations pop up. On a side note, the Grand Ballroom Thanksgiving Buffet meal is quoted at $83.02 per adult, including tax and gratuity. Have a wonderful holiday! Last edited by Think Tink; 11-22-2008 at 09:25 PM.. |
