Question about priority seating

I will continue to do my research, of course, but I hadn't seen this question addressed yet.

I know a PS isn't the same as a reservation, but you still have to give info about the amount of people going, right? I'm going with my family...but if I call for a PS for 5, and then at the last minute in the park, the kids pitch a fit and won't go, my sis and mom will probably decide not to bother. Can I still go and use the PS I made? Or because I am now a party of one will I have to wait like anyone else just walking up?

I'm really not sure. I know when you schedule your PS they look for tables available to fit your party. Since you're going down instead of up, I would think you'd be ok. I can't imagine them making you wait when there's already a table big enough to accomadate reserved for you. It's an interesting question though because I'm going with a party of 11 and I'm sure we'll be short some of those people for TS meals where I made ADR's. Very curious.

They can ussually accomodate if if you show up with fewer people than you made the ADR for. Increasing the number of people can be a problem

I'm not too worried about increasing. lol! I just know my nephew's personality; I can talk my daughter into sitting and eating, but not him

Since you're going down in size you won't have a problem. I had to downsize ADRs by 5 people in 2007 and I called ahead to let them know. They said not to bother and that it would be easier just to show up with fewer people.

Yet another silly question...lol!

What if no one wants to go to any restaurants with me? Can I make a PS for just one person? From what I've been reading, getting PS's for an odd group number is a little tougher...

A single PS should be fine. I've had more issues getting PS for large groups more than single dinners.
