| Suggestions for 4 year old birthday meal please I am taking my 4 year old (well soon to be 4) for her birthday (with the free admission :-) We did a fantastic trip with planned meals to WDW in August and now I"m a little lost on where to go at Disneyland. We will only be there that one day. It doesn't need to be anything over the top but if there was some place in DL for character dining, I would love it. We are not going to Calif. Adventure for this trip but DL itself. I'm so excited to go! and check things out on Passporter again.... I loved using this site for our trip planning last summer. Thanks so much!

| We enjoyed our character meal at Storyteller's Cafe, which is located in the Grand Californian. I've also heard good things about Goofy's Kitchen which is located in the Disneyland Hotel. Both resorts are within walking distance to the esplanade between DL and DCA, with GC being closer. They are also both close to the monorail station, which empties near the Nemo Submarine ride, with DLH being closer. Disneyland Resort Menus can also be found at AllEars making your decision!

| I just asked my 4 year old (who turns 5 in a week) and he said, "Goofy's Kitchen 'cause they have balloons!" It's what I would pick for that age, too. I think their buffet is more fun for a kid (and I prefer it over Storytellers) and they do dances - Macarena and the Pots 'n Pans dance (where kids get to bang on pots and pans with spoons). And Goofy's Kitchen seems to offer the most characters. Inside DL, there is a character meal at Plaza Inn that actually advertises itself as a great place to celebrate a birthday. I think it's Minnie and Friends? It's not all day, though, so call about it - I think it's only breakfast, but it may also get you into the park a little earlier. Or, instead of going for a character meal, you could go to Princess Faire and make a big deal out of getting hair and/or face painting done and watch the show(s) and greet princesses and get a bavarian pretzel, etc. That is, of course, if she's into princesses (like mine was at 4 - and still is).

| Wow-- what great suggestions. Thank you so much. I think Goofy's kitchen sounds perfect. She is into the princesses and maybe we can do that next visit. I think dinner at DL hotel the night we get there will be great because we won't be going to the park until the next day (so we won't have tickets yet.) I have been suffering Disney withdrawl since our fantastic trip last August to WDW.......... needless to say I'm a little excited about this DL adventure : Plus DD is super into Tinkerbell and I've been reading about the Pixie Hollow!

| We've had great character meals at Storytellers, PCH Grill and Goofy's Kitchen. One thing I would say about the character meals at Disneyland, compared to WDW, is that they always seem to take longer for the characters to get round - it's a lot more leisurely, so I'd allow a lot more time than you would in Florida, maybe an hour and a half, just to be on the safe side?

| Sorry that you aren't doing DCA because our DD (9) loved her princess dinner at Ariel's Grotto! We also sprang for the princess jewel box with a cupcake for her -- it was big enough for all of us to share. More like a small loaf cake.

And, another bonus? Get pictures and signatures of each character that night and that's less time spent in lines at the park. We love that perk.

| Yeah! I'm so excited. Thanks for all the responses. I made a 'priority seating' request and did tell them it was DD's birthday and they took down her name. Now to decide whether she wears a Snow White or Cinderella costume (her decision not mine of course ;-) Thanks!
