| Huh, didn't realize it until you mentioned it, but DH agrees. He said he assumed they did it purposely, but I don't know.... What about the new Celebration BBQ? I'm not sure who's at that one....

| I didn't see that on a list given on another character meal thread (the list was linked in a reply)... Mickey is going to be the main character we're going after on this DLR trip in a couple of years (actually less than a year and a half away!) and it just really surprised me that he's not gonna be there... I mean he's in how many character line ups for meals at WDW??? LOL

| I was eating at Plaza Inn yesterday, and we were watching the bday parties they were having outside. Mickey and Minnie come out and interact with the kids, and the photographer is there to take photos. Disneyland® - Happiest Birthdays on Earth

| ^ but will they have those in 2011? that's the question (and I'm so afraid to get our hopes up... and then they discontinue the parties lol)

Sure, character meals help for more personal interaction with a character and reduces time in lines while in the parks. But there are SO MANY opportunities to meet The Big Cheese in the park. First and foremost, he is always in his house in Toontown, which is a fun tour (through the house, through the garage and into his home studio). He is frequently in Town Square when the park opens. Don't be discouraged just because he may not be featured in the character meals. He doesn't have to be, like the other less park-visible characters need to be.

| Unless I'm mistaken, there isn't a Garden Grill at DLR, just WDW.

| I am afraid that Mickey, as far as I can remember and I've been to all of the character meals many times, does not appear at any character meal at DLR. You can only see him throughout Disneyland park. He is sometimes at Calif. Adventure but when you do see him there he will be dressed out like a 'suffer dude', and that is just not the same. |

| I'd go for Surfer Dude Mickey! I love it when the characters are dressed differently than their everyday clothes.
