| Super shuttle questions OK so we are using SuperShuttle (per the CM who helped us plan the trip). Any one have any tips or experience to share? Also, I assume that you tip the driver, how much is customary? Thanks!!! |

| 1. Don't be suprised if you are not the only stop. It may stop at other hotels or even a private residence (depending on the airport you are flying into and what the passenger load is--once from LAX we went to a private residence (about 10 miles away from DL but on the way there, then to the DL hotel, then to the motel I was staying at). 2. Tipping ought to depend on how many bags they handle, etc. Remember they make a large portion of their income from the tips (for the driver the van is like a taxi, they make a little for driving, and the rest from the tips). From LAX I gave the driver $5 (only one bag)

| We took SuperShuttle to LAX on our last trip. We were the first stop of the morning, then we stopped by 2 other hotels along the way to pick up others. We got the airport with just barely 2 hours to spare before our flight. As I remember, I tipped the driver $5, but I almost didn't tip him anything. The entire time we were in his van, he was on his cell phone text messaging someone, swerving a bit while he was doing so and was hardly looking at the road! I was a bit nervous riding with him. ![]()

| We have taken SuperShuttle several times out of/back to LAX. I guess the best part is that you don't have to make a reservation, but you get picked up usually w/in 5-10 minutes once you've checked in with them. The drivers vary - sometimes we've had really funny nice people who you can easily engage in conversation. Last time, we had a very quiet guy who listened to Rush Limbaugh the whole way....

| We have used Super Shuttle twice on trips - it was fine. If you are worried about getting back to the airport on time, I offer a suggestion of saying your flight is earlier than it really easy. Yes it is a lie but sometimes they do book really close and LA traffic can be crazy. As for our drivers - I just usually read a book and try to ignore the insanity. If you have ridden Rock n' Roller Coaster the traffic comments are not a lie. The ride can be as wild.

| I take the Super Shuttle only because it's much more convenient than driving from LAX when I'm only going to do DL/DCA. Each and every time I take the Super Shuttle, I end up stopping at a minimum of 3 other hotels before getting to my own. But it's still better than having to rent a car, pay for parking and driving in LA. I normally make a reservation online for the Super Shuttle. Sometimes you can find discounts from the Entertainment Book or other places when you book online. Good luck!

| I have used Super Shuttle on both my trips to DL/ DCA and have not had any issue with them. On my last trip, we stopped at two residences before heading to the airport. I was picked up 3 hours before my flight and arrived with about 2 hours before departure. I tipped our drivers depending on how many bags they handled. When I was by myself, I tipped him $5 for one bag.

| I had to go to LA on business in August. I was staying at the Sheraton Universal and our corporate travel lady suggested I use the Super Shuttle since my colleague was arriving over and hour before me and didn't want to wait for me with the rental car. So, DW and I arrived at LAX around 2pm, grabbed our luggage and headed for the Super Shuttle. It was $20 each for a ride to Universal Studios. After we waited for the rest of the passengers, we loaded up, then headed to another terminal to pick up more passengers. Then headed up to drop someone off at their home in Van Nuys. Afterwards, we headed to another passenger's home in Sherman Oaks (She asked the driver why we didn't go to Studio City first, instead of going to the furthest point first and the driver just said he went the way dispatch told him to). Finally, we arrive at Universal Studios almost three hours later. DW was extremely unhappy. I gave the driver $5, but DW wouldn't have given him anything. A week later, when my business was done, I grabbed a limo to DL and it took about 40 minutes to get to Anaheim (Grand Californian). When we finally checked out of DL to head for LAX a few days later, I just called concierge the day before and had them arrange a car for me. They arranged Montemar Transportation (714-801-2119) to pick me up the next morning. I asked how they were and the DL concierge told me they used them frequently. They got me and DW to the airport in about 30 minutes (this was at 5am) for $120, tip included. I would use them again, and the Grand Californian Concierge's endorsement of them put my mind at ease.

| I believe they will pick you up from anywhere. We got a quote to be picked up from the port in San Pedro after our repo cruise. It was $59 for the first person and $9 for each additional person. Or we could request a private van for $115 total for up to 9 passengers. Since there will be a minimum of four of us we will probably opt for the private van to avoid having to drive all over LA dropping off other people. Here is a link to SuperShuttle's Accessible Service.

| I have used and we call it the STUPID shuttle, lol, many times because they pick you up 3 hrs before your flight. they sometimes make more than 3 stops. We once had a driver who I thought was going to crash in the middle part of the highway... I guess its hit or miss on the driver part weather you get a good or bad one I do like their prices though. |
