| Travel time to San Diego There is a good chance I will get to attend a conference in San Diego this December so I thought I would spend a couple days at DL after the conference. Does anyone know roughly how long it would take to drive from San Diego to Anaheim? |

| It takes roughly an hour and a half to 2 hours, depending on traffic. ![]()

| Time to DL from SD What part of SD will you be staying in? Downtown near the Convention Center, Mission Valley? We live in Hillcrest, up next to Balboa Park and it takes me exactly 80 minutes in moderate traffic to get to the DL entrance from our condo. If traffic is heavy it can take an extra 10-20 minutes, but there are only two places the traffic gets really bad, near Del Mar and then near San Clemente. Is it going to be just you? If it's going to be 2 or more people, you've got HOV lanes a good portion of the way once you get in Orange County. When I go I shoot right up the 5 to the Gene Autry/Disney Way Exit....so easy to negotiate. Let me know if you need any tips for SD or the drive.

| Thanks for the info. I will be staying downtown. The conference is at the Hyatt hotel. My Mom will be coming with me to vacation while I work so I will definitely remember to use the HOV lanes. I have been to SD before but it was a couple of years ago. If you have any recommendations on places we should see or visit in SD I would appreciate it. |

| The Zoo is a can't miss! And at least a drive (and maybe a little walk) around Balboa park is something I love as well. (the architecture of the museums within the park are BEAUTIFUL! )I'd also recommend a harbor cruise . . . and if you have time and are interested in Naval stuff, a visit to the USS Midway and/or Star of India ![]()
