Car Parking at Disneyland CA help please

Well I took my Girlfriend to Downtown Disneyland in June whilst living just up the road in Torrance so I could check-out some new pins before returning to the UK. Well I'm back in November for another 2 weeks and will be giving both the parks a bash as they say but was wondering where the best place to park is cost/ease wise-can I presume it would be in the usual guest car parking for the parks or does anybody know any better?
Thanks all,
Snapperbaz

I usually will just park in whatever hotel parking lot I am staying in, and take the shuttle over. It is just as easy as using the tram, IMO, and then you don't have to pay for parking!

If you are staying in Torrance again and will be driving over to the parks, though, you'd probably just be better off to park in the DL guest parking lots/garages.

Many, if not most or all, of the hotels in the area around the parks require you to have a parking permit stating that you are a guest of that particular hotel and will tow you if you aren't a guest or don't have a permit.

The parking rates are currently $11 per car per day in the regular guest parking areas. DTD District parking is free for the first 3 hours, then afterward $6 per hour. After 5pm (until 2am), you can valet park at DTD for $6.

I agree

tickets are hefty if you park in any of the restaurant/hotel parking lots without permits. Park in the DL lot and enjoy the tram ride
