| taking train across country Has anyone taken Amtrak across the country? We will be taking the train from Philadelphia to Anaheim to catch the Magic for the repo cruise. We want to know what the scene and scenerios are for such a trip. I have my monther, and two teen girls 16 and 14 with me for teh voyage. Too bad there is no Auto train for this trip. |

| WOW! that would be neat! I have not done it, but I looked into it for a trip out west. I think you may have to change trains in Chicago and the whole trip takes a few days, but could be really fun. I would take a good thick book I hadn't read yet. I would love to see a TR if you can do one! I think you get a discount if you have AAA!

| Once you are at Anaheim, it is about 35 miles from DL to the Port. You are probably (an estimate) talking at least a $100 cab fare. (45 minutes at good times, 1-1/2 in rush times). ![]()
