Getting to the Kodak Theater from Anaheim?

We are planning on visiting the parks for three days and on the day we arrive hitting DTD, so we wanted to visit LA on our other free day. My question is, how can I get to the Kodak theater so I can get on a tour, from our good neighbor hotel. We are planning on the Quality Inn, 1441 South Manchester Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802. We don't need a car except for that one day so I'd rather not rent one, any ideas?

After driving it.... I DON'T recommend driving yourself. UGH...it was a nightmare (and I learned to drive in Boston, MA). Sorry no offense but LA drivers are INSANE!

Call your hotel and ask about a car service. I know my hotel in NYC was able to help my friend and I with a car service that was inexpensive and CLEAN!

However I would not believe the time. Since this takes you to the downtown I-5 funnel.... it could as easily take and extra hour! I agree with Robin it is not worth the hastle unless you have tickets to something special happening there. The alternative would be look for a Hollywood tour that you can get from the DL area (try grayline tours) that stops there.

If you'd like to take the train...

You can take a short cab ride to Anaheim Station, and take the Metrolink train to LA Union Station (weekday roundtrip fare $13.25, weekends $10.00). At Union Station you can get the LA Metro Red Line subway, which will take you directly to the Hollywood and Highland stop (Kodak Theater, Mann's Chinese Theater, Disney's El Capitan Theatre, Disney Soda Fountain, etc.) $2.50 roundtrip.
