| disney to sea world??? What is the best way to get from Disneyland to Sea World? I'm not sure I want to rent a car....as it will most likely sit the 3 days we are at DL. We will have a 3 year old with us....so I would have to schlep her car seat with us on the plane.....not sure I want to do that again either. ![]() This would be our first trip to DL. We just got back from WDW a few weeks ago and I have "the disney bug" I have to plan another Disney trip quick to get my fix. This will be the first question of many..... ![]() TIA

| I actually think that renting a car would be the better and cheaper way to go as Sea World is about an hour and a half from Disneyland in San Diego. ![]() As I understand it, you can bring your car seat with you to the airport and check it but it does not count towards your baggage allowance. If that is definitely the case, then you wouldn't have to haul it through the airport and on the plane with you . . . just from the car to the airport and back.

| Yup renting a car will be best.... just rent it when you need it to get to San Diego to save $$-- I'm sure the hotel while you're at DL there can help with a rental..Enterprise will pick you up.... Only other choice will be to take the Amtrak train to San Diego and it will also shuttle you to Sea World but the trains stops a lot so takes longer-- Looked it up it takes approx. 3 hours and cost $26 one way for adult ![]()

| Another thing I wanted to add . . . There is an Alamo rental car office right in Downtown Disney (and another just offsite) where you could rent a car. That way you only have to rent it for the day(s) you want and not have to rent it for the entirety of your trip. ![]()

| Thanks....I guess we could check her car seat. I forgot we could rent one just when we're ready to drive to Seaworld. Is is "easy" to drive from DL to SeaWorld? I kind of live out in the boondocks.....and driving in a city bigger than Denver may scare me....

| I think the drive is fairly easy as far as directions -- get on the I-5 freeway right near Disneyland, then get off right near Sea World. However, I would not say that driving in Southern California is ever easy, because the freeways are often 5 or more lanes in each direction, and drivers change lanes at will. Still, if you don't plan to travel at morning or afternoon rush hour, you should be OK. Happy planning, Melissa

| I checked Alamo's web site and they have car seats for rent at an 'extra' charge. It might be worth calling the DTD office to make sure they carry them. Quote:

| Tonya, I would suggest you rent a car. However I must warn you that Los Angeles goes on forever!!! When you drive have another person act as the navigator!!! Going south from LA to San Diego however is not so bad. You can have it all mapped out ahead of time. Good luck.

| I agree that car rental is generally the best option. I know that Grayline offers tours. Considering it includes your park ticket, it's not a bad price. Southern California Gray Line - Sightseeing Tours
