DLR entertainment

I was reading that the Snow White Enchanted Musical is back at the Fantasyland theater. I'm glad to see it back. Lots of people don't like this show but, we had a wonderful time when we saw it. I took my two kids and my nephew (all teenagers) to see it. Before the show the boys grumbled about it but, in the end they were the ones who had the most fun with it.

So, I thought I would start a new question. What is your favorite show at the DLR.

Our favorite is the Aladdin show in DCA. But, I also really miss the Country Bears.

Re: DLR entertainment

Well, I know what Jack would say! He loved the Buzz Show in Tomorrowland when he was younger my mom sat with him for a whole afternoon, and they watched it 4 times in a row I think!
As far as I'm concerned, I loved the America Sings show when I was a kid, but now I'd have to go with Aladdin. We like the Snow White show too, but I loved the Pocahontas one they had in Fantasyland theater before that.
I think an easier question would have been, what show don't you like!

Re: DLR entertainment

Since I haven't been yet, I can't answer. But, I have a question. Is the Snow White show like the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM where it tells the story with lots of music and dancing?

Thanks!

I didn't like the Snow White show, either. My favorite is definitely Aladdin. I love all the homages to recent events the Genie throws in.

Re: DLR entertainment

funny. i was there in may 2005 and he made martha stewart references. i was there in may 2006 and he made a slightly different martha stewart reference. and a 'deal or no deal' reference.

the funniest reference i'd heard was last year when he says the line about going to disneyland and runs off... last year, he came back on stage right after to say 'it's closed' in response to the big ado about disneyland closing to the public on may 4th? of last year.

Personally, I love the DLR Fantasmic! It was the original, and to this day I get goosebumps thinking about the first time we saw it there. Simply Magical!

Debi--you are so right, I wasn't thinking of Fantasmic! when I answered before. I still get goosebumps every time I see it!

Re: DLR entertainment

I really loved Pocahontas and America Sings. I also loved the older versions of the Golden Horseshoe shows. I remember them from the early 70's when I was a kid.

Oh man, Amy, I remember as well! We were special guests of the Pepsi corporation once (My dad was in the grocery business) and got to sit in the VIP seats located on the stage! Those versions of the show were so great!

Re: DLR entertainment

I can hardly believe that in just a couple of weeks I'll be able to check out all the shows for myself at DLR. I'm betting that I'll love all of them.

Re: DLR entertainment

We really enjoyed the Snow White show and am disappointed that it will be closing. My kids were a bit upset that the dwarfs didn't shake their butts as they did in the hotel channel commercials ! I would say that Snow White ranks right up there with the Beauty and the Beast show at WDW!

Re: DLR entertainment

Now that I've just recently returned from DLR, I can pick a favorite show. If fireworks count, then the current fireworks spectacle at DL is my fave show. Running that a very close second is the Aladdin musical. We loved it so much that we saw it three times while we were there and all three times the genie threw in different funny lines. He truly does steal that show.
