| A Family wins a trip to Disneyland in 1956 My DD found this video. A family won a contest held by Scotch Tape, and the prize was a trip to Disneyland.The film is from 1956, but the naration is from the 90s. It is so sweet! Internet Archive: Details: Disneyland Dream

| Thank you for posting this. I watched it with my family yesterday morning and then pulled it up again for MIL and FIL to watch last night. They got such a kick out of it and MIL was saying the whole time, "I remember that" and such. Then they got to Frontierland and she had forgotten all about how frontier-like it actually was with pretty much only animal rides!

| This is a must watch movie! It is so interesting to see this section of time in American history preserved. And entertaining as well! Everyone should check this out! One thing that was interesting to me was how the family packed picnic lunches to help with expenses, which was probably the norm at that time. Seems that in current times we don't bother with small things like that anymore, but we miss out on those kind of experiences.
