Build a Bear Q

Does the Build a Bear at DTD offer anything special because of it's location? Or is it just like the B-A-B at our local mall?
Frankly, I've always been surprised that Disney didn't offer a Build-a-Mickey or Build-a-Pooh at the parks.

yes, there is some merchandise exclusive to the Anaheim location. and for period of time, Mickey, Minnie and Pooh were all options at the Anaheim location as well as the Florida Mall location.

Oh my, I didn't know the Florida Mall had the special ones, too. We may have to rent a car and go to the mall. Stefanie loves BAB, having over made well over 20 now. But she loves Disney even more. for asking this question.

When we were there in 2006 they said they don't have anything different than the regular stores . My DD really wanted to buy her special bear a Mickey Shirt. Maybe next trip!

at Anaheim? I think they may have mislead you... unless they stopped selling them, they have a Mickey outfit complete with ears and big hands, a Minnie outfit, a DTD tshirt and they had a HCOE tshirt as well.

actually, they've had a ton of exclusives... pirate ears, goofy ears, pluto ears, a peter pan costume, a stitch costume and more

see Treasure Kingdom Store: Search for a sample

note not all of them are exclusives to Anaheim

We were at the DL location several years ago and they had some Disney outfits
in the B A B store. It was packed though when we went so be warned.

the anaheim store has 2 levels, they're virtually identical so try upstairs if downstairs is too busy

Definitely check again next trip. Every trip I have taken, we've gone into BABW and have seen lots of things that the "regular" BABW stores don't all have.

We bought the complete Mickey outfit and DTD shirt in early 2007. My sister bought an "exclusive" Pirate dress and the Mickey outfit just this past July as well.

I'm almost sorry I asked
We need another B-a-B like a hole in the head, but the DL costumes are so cute!

And thanks, Brad, for the link to Treasure Kingdom. I knew about the Laughing Place and wondered what the CA equivalent was. I like to scope certain merchandise ahead of time so I have some idea what's available.

I know what you mean. We have a house full of BAB stuff but my kids play with it all the time and they always have great coupons and offers. For our family it would be a souvenier that would actually get use. I asked the woman on the first floor because I didn't want to blow vacation money on stuff we could get at home. I guess I should have investigated further myself. A well, we are excited about building a Dino at T Rex on our next trip to WDW.
