| Different Parks have different castles. Sleeping Beauty's castle is in DL. The I can't remember the overseas castles but someone here should. I always thought the Paris one should have Beauty and Beast's castle but it isn't. ![]() |

| I think it became Cinderella's castle when Prince Charming married her and found out that she had a fairy godmother who could turn him into a frog if he messed things up. (sorry feeling funny tonight

| It's Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland, but Cinderella Castle in Tokyo Disney, so across the world, it's a mixture of the two.

| Really, both Cinderella's Castle and Sleeping Beauty's Castle make sense if they represent the castles the princesses lived in after the movies ended (that is, after the women married the princes). Yes, Sleeping Beauty's parents also had a castle, but I always assumed "her" castle was the one originally belonging to Prince Philip's parents and that she moved in after she married him. I'm sure the real reason Disneyland has Sleeping Beauty's Castle is that Disneyland opened while the Disney animators were working on the movie of Sleeping Beauty, and Walt Disney saw an additional promotional opportunity. I don't know why the castle at Walt Disney World went to Cinderella -- it doesn't seem fair that hers is so much larger, but maybe Prince Charming's father was so thrilled that his son finally married that he bought it for the happy couple. Just to muddle things further, the restaurant at Cinderella's Castle at Disney World was originally called King Stefan's Banquet Hall, although King Stefan was Sleeping Beauty's father. Melissa

| The following can be found at the WIKIPEDIA web site. Cinderella Castle was inspired by several French castles, most notably Château de Pierrefonds, Château d'Ussé in France, Fontainebleau, Versailles, and the chateaux of Chenonceau, Château de Chambord, Chaumont, and the Alcázar in Segovia, Spain. Neuschwanstein Castle was the original inspiration for Walt Disney in his concept for the castle in the classic animated feature Cinderella. So, it would appear that it is named after the castle in the animated movie CINDERELLA. So, who is to question 'Uncle' Walt? Not me, that is for sure. ![]() |

| If you look at pictures of the Caslte in DL Paris, it looks just like it does in the movie (Sleeping Beauty that is) with the square trees and all. This was also on wikipedia "While being filmed, Walt Disney accidentally referred to the castle as Snow White's Castle. This blooper sparked false speculation among fans that the castle was originally going to be called "Snow White's Castle" but was changed to coincide with the release of Sleeping Beauty." |

It's an easy blooper to make given the fact that it's the Evil Queen who glares out the castle's window above Snow White's Scary Adventure. | |
