We spent most of the evening checking out all the characters - they had so many out, including some of the villains, like the Evil Queen from Snow White, that we haven't seen in years. Others included the princesses, Toy Story characters, Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Hook, Peter Pan and Wendy.

It's also worth catching the parade - it's pretty short, but it's still neat.

The kids can go from character to character and, as with all characters, they'll get their photos taken with them and autographs. The lines for the candy are separate and they were waaaaaay longer than the ones to see the characters. We couldn't fathom why anyone would stand in a line for candy and wait longer for that than the line to see the characters, which are unique to Disney, as you can get candy anywhere.

I'm so excited - we'll be doing this next year, but I'm really hoping to see Captain Jack! My daughter is already embarrassed and we haven't even gone. LOL!

Do they allow adults to dress up?

Yes, Adults can dress up. As for the candy stations, we went last year on one of the Friday nights and we really didn't wait very long in line. It was my son and I, he was 12 at the time and we did rides, got candy and got pictures and autographs with the villians, and lastly watched the cute little parade and had a great time

My DW and I are going to be checking into the Paradise Pier Hotel on the morning of Oct 15th and checking out on the 17th so we have decided to also attend the Oct. 16th affair as the 16th is also my 65th Birthday (just bought the tickets on-line) and we're having dinner at Storytellers at 6:00 pm. I sure hope to see atleast one person from PassPorter during this time. LOL. I'll be riding around on my little red ECV so watch out for me. LOL.

We went last year and there are CMs that are walking behind the parade with the Goofy Candy Company handing out candy to the kids. Make sure they have the bags ready.

We just went Friday night. They hand out bags for everyone but the bags are small. We bought bags from the Disney Store before we left so we had bigger ones. I really enjoyed the parade. My husband and oldest son and daughter left early but my 9 yr old and I stayed for almost the whole thing and we had lots of fun. They had Tweedle Dee and Dum there along with the Queen of Hearts and Jafar. They also had all 7 dwarfs and Cinderella's coach. They had Jasmine and Alladin. I know I saw Cruella DeVille in the parade and at the Villians show but not sure if she was out signing autographs. They had 2 dance clubs for kids. Donald and Daisy were doing one of them and the kids were having lots of fun and Stitch and Goofy was at the other one. My son and I were able to just walk on rides with no wait. The longest wait we had was for Peter Pan and it was less than 10 minutes long. We were on the Indy Speedway during the fireworks. That was pretty cool to drive and see them. Overall I think it was the funnest time at MK. I will definately do it again if I am there again during this time.

We really like your picture of you both standing in front of the cars. Where was this taken? We love the idea that that we are starting to find others that feel this very special magic that we feel when you visit Disneyland. Would love to hear some of your stories from your trips
Hope to see you at Disneyland kind regards Maree & Kerri

Was your message directed to me? If so, the photo in front of Mator and Lightening was taken over in DCA just across the walk from Soarin'. So, you are staying at the Disneyland Hotel huh? We're staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel. Checking in on the morning of the 15th and out on the 17th because the 16th is my birthday. Maybe we'll run into each other at one of the PassPorter events.
