I just went and re-read it and it appears that they have added that part since I posted it last night!
Last night it didn't have ANYTHING mentioned in the article about "limited time only" but said that reservations could be made starting August 7th and could be made up to 60 days in advance. The answers in the comments though (which, I admit, I didn't read past the article) mention that it is currently only scheduled to run through Halloween.
Even so, I wouldn't doubt if they extend it past the fall, but I think they would be wise to move it elsewhere, if they can. As of right now, it will be tucked way back in the Court of Angels in New Orleans Square and I really hope they wouldn't keep it there permanently and the CoA is a lovely, quiet little spot!
I've been to Disneyland a lot, but don't know a lot about it. This is the first time I've heard of the Court of Angels.
I posted some comments to the blog as well. Fingers crossed they extend the pirate fun!

Unless I am mistaken, The Court of Angels is a little acove to the right of Club 33 enterance. There is a stairway inside that leads up to where Walts apartment would have been, which is located above the PoC attraction.

Pirates League.....Anyone know if DLR extended it past Halloween?
I'm not sure but unless someone can tell you before we go again, we'll be there Feb 2 and 3 and can look to see if they are still in the "stairwell' near POC.

Okay...I just called. They no longer offer the pirate league makeovers. I'm not exactly sure what you spied pirate wise, but it is apparently not the pirate league.
