packing light for two different climates

Does anyone have tips on packing for cooler weather at Disneyland and warmer weather on the Disney cruise? We will be traveling from Australia and it will be our summer here. I don't want to carry to much as I would like to have room for souvenirs. I will also be packing for two girl (3 and 5). If anyone has any tips on how to pack effectively and appropriately that would be great. I have been to travelite.org and it doesn't fit my needs as it seems to be for travel within the States. Thanks for your help.

You didn't say what time of year you will be in Anahiem. I'm from Northern California at about 5000 feet so, it is always warmer in Southern California then I am use to. It tends to get a little chilly in the evenings. And a hoodie sweatshirt is always fine for me. If I knew what month you will be going I could give you a better idea of the weather. Currently they are geering up for some thunderstorms hopefully it will have some moisture with it and not just lightening, California up and down the state is so dry and we have had numerous fires.

You might run into some rain. I would check the local weather before coming over. But, layers are usually the best that way if you get to warm you can take stuff off and if you get cold you can cover up. Have fun planning and have a great time visiting our beautiful state.

February is one of our best months. There might be a day of rain here or there but usually we have 70+ degree weather with clear days. Even if it rains it's still shorts weather, just wet for a few hours. The nights can get cooler, the lowest being in the low 60's or high 50's so you will need a jacket. All in all though it is one of my favorite times to visit DL.
