| Disneyland for Halloween I was just looking at the Disneyland site and the things they do for Halloween look really cool. I've got three options for our holiday next year, two of which would put us in Disneyland before Halloween, while the third wouldn't. Looking at the site, it seems that they do a lot for Halloween - would you recommend heading to DL for Halloween and are the crowds a lot heavier? We're looking at being there on a Monday and Tuesday...

| Cheryl, the crowds are light in October. All of the schools are in session for the month in California, and day-visitors make-up about 50-60% of the crowd down there. Pretty much, if school's out, the park's crowded as I know you learned in April. The one exception would be Columbus Day Weekend (usually around the 9th of October,) where the park might be a little crowded on Monday. It seems that more schools are scheduling teacher workshops on that day, as Zack has had it off for the past couple of years. If you can schedule around that weekend, I'd do it. ![]()

| Cheryl, I have been to DL and DCA on Halloween night (before they started doing the party) and the parks were virtually empty. There were many attractions we got to stay on as long as we wanted, and ride over and over again. The kids were in heaven! ![]() |

| 33 days until we hit the parks, I'm so excited. The last time we were there for Halloween they didn't have the decorations they have now. Its going to be fun. I'm taking lots of pictures and will learn how to get them up on the board when I get back. I will have a nice long trip report to go along with them.

| I can't wait to see your photos and read all about your trip - I'm definitely leaning towards an option that would put us at Disneyland before Halloween. ![]()

| Cheryl, you might be interested in this TR where Meggera wrote about her family's experiences with Mickey's Halloween Treat. I remember being intrigued when I was reading about it. Hope this helps!

| Thanks for those links guys - I think I am going to aim to get us there before Halloween, so we can enjoy the decorations there.
