| Your first DL trip I asked this in the WDW planning forum and it got such a good response that I thought I'd ask the same question here - when was your first visit to Disneyland and how old were you? Mine was in October 1987 with my parents and I was 14 years old. We had two days in the park, as part of a three week tour of the States.

| I was twelve. My dad had such a phobia about driving down from Washington State, that we actually TOOK THE GREYHOUND BUS down to Anaheim. Thank Goodness he never repeated that method of transportation again! I just remember walking into that park and seeing the castle for the first time. Obviously, I never got over that moment.

| It was March 1986.....I was 18, a senior in high school and in Anaheim attending California's Grand Assembly for Rainbow Girls at the convention center. I went out to California with 2 advisors, but stayed with a friend while attending Grand Assembly. The day after Grand Assembly was over, I went to Disneyland with my friend. I went back again in 1988, only I travelled alone that time. Went to Grand Assembly and Disneyland with a bunch of girls. We were just there last week and I can't believe how much the area and the park has grown!

| Mine was in 1962. I took the Greyhound from my home in Northern California to my grandmothers in downtown LA (Fun trip..my wisdom tooth surgery stitches came out with my cold toast in Bakersfield )We took a city bus from downtown LA to the front of Disneyland (yes there was a public bus stop at the front). The first ride I remember was the flying saucers (think big circles lifted on air)...air driven bumper cars ![]()

| My first trip to Disneyland was in 1968 when I was eighteen years old. I didn't visit it again until 2006 and I was blown away by all the changes to this fantastic place. Joy

| I was in fifth grade - March of 1965. My Dad had a convention to go to in Los Angeles and so the entire family drove from Illinois! ! On our way home we got stuck in a snow storm in the town of Moriority (sp?), New Mexico and had to spend 2 nights sleeping in a school house and eating baloney sandwiches. ![]()

| My first trip was in 1977, when I was 11. My dad was in the Air Force and we just came back from Germany. We were stationed at George AFB, outside of Victorville, CA.

| I was 24 and it was my honeymoon. We stayed at a Best western motel for 11 days and toured DL for 5 days before visiting the other parks nearby plus Seaworld and the Tijuana? trip. My new DH woke me up at the crack of a sparrow song on our first morning and told me he was going to Disneyland and leaving in ten minutes!!! We were there for the rope drop and were the first in line at the teacup ride. I was so excited! Several years later when we went again with our first & second children I insisted that we repeat the deal. Unfortunately we didn't get to be first in line but we still had a great day. DL is still my very favourite park! My fav ride on the 1995 trip was the submarine ride (20000 Leagues under the Sea?). Ah the memories...

| Sometime during 1968, while I was still "a bun in the oven." There are some photos somewhere of my mom at DL preggers with me and everyone around her is smoking! I actually don't remember not going to DL...we only live 45 min. away, so we went often.
