Crowds on April 18-20, 2008

There is going to be a major Cheer and Dance competition AND the Long Beach Grand Prix on April 18-20. Crowds for these two events are expected to be around 350,000 people, most of whom will most likely visit Disneyland at some point during those three days.

I was there last year when this same dance competition was going on and it made the park the most crowded I've ever seen! The lines were just insane!

I recommned avoiding the park that weekend, but if you can't change your plans then it will be best to visit Disneyland on Friday and DCA on Saturday to avoid some crowds at least.

Thanks for the heads up! I had heard something about this too, but I wasn't aware of just how many people are going to be there during those three days. Looks like a good weekend to avoid for sure! We are planning for sometime in May, usually that is a great month with very minimal crowds.

Is this event on each year at the same time?

I ask because my DD is going to perform at DL in April 2010 (yeah - I know it's forever away...) Whilst I'm eager for us to visit again, I will extend the trip to gain the least crowded park days. Just wondering when?
