Question DL rides busy on a Monday?

Hi all. I'm new here, heading to DL with my Mom and twin daughters (7) on May 8. We plan on getting the 3 day flex pass for Sat/Sun/Mon. Sun is Mother's Day so I imagine it could be busy, and of course weekends usually are. My question is, should we plan to do the busiest rides (Nemo, POC, etc) on the Monday? Are Monday's usually slower with faster lineups?

Also, how is the weather at that time in May? I hope warmer than where we are (in B.C. Canada) but should we plan on capris or pants, t shirts and cardigans? What about a warm jacket? If I know my one daughter she will balk at wearing a "winter" coat but I don't want them to be cold at night for the parade, etc.

I'm sure I'll have tons of questions in the new month. This is a total surprise to my girls, we aren't telling them until they come home from school the day before we leave. I can't WAIT!

Welcome to the boards sweetpea2008

In general, DL is slower on Mondays. Just remember once summer hits, the locals come during the week, too. (Roughly June-Sept), so it will be busy, just not as busy.

It can be warm or cool evening. DL is about 10 miles from the ocean, and can get ocean breezes and fog. The best bet is pack a light sweater (or buy a sweatshirt in the park if needed ). Check the morning paper or the local weather on the news to see what the evening is supposed to be like. For traffic sake, the will let you know if a fog is expected.

and Welcome to my California.

I think you'll find that Monday will be the slowest of those particular three days. The main thing to remember is to get into the parks early as the crowds are always sparse first thing in the morning, no matter what day of the week it is.

The weather in May should be really, really nice when you'll be there. When the sun is out, you can get around in t-shirts and shorts. But it gets a whole lot cooler once the sun sets--time for long pants and a jacket.

Being that you're from Canada, I'm assuming that you're used to the cool weather. Anaheim's average temperature in May is mid 70's in the day, and the high 50's at night (which is freezing for me.)

I'll be there just a few days before you and I too can't wait to visit Disneyland again. (I try to go at least 2 or 3 times a year--it's a long flight, but oh so worth it!)

Thanks for the answers! Yes, being from Canada we're pretty used to cold weather, and this spring has been wacky with sunny days followed by cold and even light dusting of snow. Crazy! Hoping for sunshine and warmth when we're there!
