How to celebrate at DLR

We will be at DLR for DH's birthday and our 20th anniversary. What are the best ways to celebrate? We are going to eat at Blue Bayou on my DH's birthday. What else should we do. We have spent his last two birthdays at WDW and have gotten spoiled with great cakes and balloons in our room. This year are staying at one of the Embassy's. I'd love to hear everyones ideas.
Thanks!!

Make sure DH goes to City Hall to pick up a Birthday button!

I celebrated my birthday last year in DL and got the button for myself. Everywhere I went, Cast Members wished me a happy birthday! It surely adds to the "magic"!

Check with the folks at Embassy because they may be able to help with some surprises in your room. Lots of hotels are willing to make birthdays and anniversaries extra special.

How about going on one of the special Disney tours? I think "A Walk in Walt's Footsteps" would be great! (Our kids are a bit too young, but we'll do it one of these days!)

Here is a link to tour info from the DL site:
Disneyland Resort - Detecting Browser Properties . . .

Another idea would be a character meal. They aren't just for kids, you know! I break into a huge smile every time I see Stitch

Have a wonderful time!

The only non-characters that I have seen in the parades recently have been the "Grand Marshals" that come out before the parade . . . however those are usually the winners of the "big" Year of a Million Dreams prizes of the day (the stay in the Suite, for example)
