| Wildfires? We will be leaving for LA/DL in about 2 weeks (1st trip ever), but I am nervous with the wildfires that are now burning in the area. Any advice anyone can share to help calm my nerves about this? Thanks! |

| I wouldn't worry too much. My daughter and SIL live in Southern California, and they say the media is wonderful about keeping the public informed.

| DL is a across the city from the current fires. There are no hills close to DL. You will be safe, and uneffected by the fires (except for small visibilty limitations if a fire is in the area (i.e).) I live in area where we have fires nearby and other than smoke in the air, their is nothing to worry about.

| None of them should be directly affected, though reduced visibility due to smoke in the air can cause the FAA to increase spacing between flights. It should be gone in a day or two anyway.
