Early entry?

Does this work the same as at WDW? Are you allowed in an hour earlier than the posted times? Is it worth heading there -- or is it crazy busy? At WDW, I typically avoid extra magic hours -- as they are usually super busy.

Thanks for any hints. I am a newbie, and I need lots of advice!

We found on our trip in February, that if you decide to use this feature, you should arrive much earlier than the early entry time as the lines can be a bit long. Early entry is definitely beneficial for riding popular rides, like Nemo and rides in Fantasyland. I would try to work it into your schedule at least once to enjoy the lighter crowds.

It's worth it...people do start getting in line 30 minutes early. It's the ideal time to hit Nemo if you plan to go there...we did...we still ended up waiting 25 minutes to get on the ride...but that was way better than waiting 2 1/2 hours during regular park hours.

We usually hit Space Mountain 2 or 3 times during the Magic Mornings (and there's still time left to do something else) then get a Fast Pass to ride it again later in the day. It works out nice!

Does Disneyland still have Early Entry? We were researching this and thought we discovered they discontinued this.

Thanks for any info!

I would recommend early entry. We actually arrived to Epcot 10 mins before the regular crowd got in and still managed to get on Mission Space and get FP for Soarin' for 10 am. We went in Feb so it was low crowds. I would get there for sure on time during busy/holiday times.

Yes they do. They didn't discontinue it...they just changed the days...it's now Sun, Tue, Th & Sat...Toon Town Morning Madness is now M, W, F, Sat.

Oh, and they changed the name to "Magic Mornings" or something like that.

Just to clarify, this thread is about early entry at Disneyland in California.

We always do at least one early entry (whatever it's called nowadays) on our trips. We like to go to Fantasyland and ride to our hearts' content. Usually we start with Peter Pan and then go from there. It's also good to hit rides in Tomorrowland with big lines like Nemo and Space Mountain.
People purchasing multi-day tickets get one early entry and folks staying on property can go each day it's offered, you just have to show the room charge slip.

Ah... thank you so much! Glad I checked back to see what the story was. We'll have to figure that into our plans.

We find early entry at DL to be very helpful!!! With only guests from 3 Disney hotels and a few with a 3 day or longer park hopper, the crowds are a lot less than at WDW (we avoid EE at WDW). It is only offered at DL (not DCA) one hour before the posted time (you can get in line 1/2 hour before that) and most of Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open. It is the best time to see Nemo first. If you want big rides - do Space Mountain and Matterhorn first. If you have kids, it is a great time to do Peter Pan and Dumbo. Two weeks ago we did 7 rides during EE and a total of 19 rides before lunch (and that was on a Saturday!). Enjoy!
