Although I cannot guarantee it, I'm sure that if someone complained to City Hall they could get their money back...and if you're a guest at one of the Disney hotels, you're guaranteed admittance...as long as you have a ticket and your hotel voucher.

My experiences in the past have been that...well, first off, let me say that DCA hasn't had a day when it's been at capacity yet...so I have been shuffled over to DCA when DL has been at capacity...the crowds did die down in the heat of the day and we were able to get into DL, eventually...

I don't know what they use to determine closing the gates, but I'd imagine it is actual people in the park...the turnstiles do keep a count...so does Disney!! Ticket sales are too vague...I can buy a ticket now and wait to use it next month.

It's really not that often that DL closes the gates due to meeting capacity. So I wouldn't worry about it if making plans to visit. It's big holiday weekends when it happens...and not always (I don't think it closed on Labor Day weekend this year...anybody know for sure???)...and even those, I don't remember it happening much at all, if ever, prior to the 50th anniversary...The small history of park closures on busy holiday weekends is one of the reasons we avoid that time of year...who wants to deal with that kind of crowd? Sometimes enough people to cause the park to reach capacity...but that's not us!

DL & DCA Columbus Day Hours

Here's the hours of DL & DCA for Columbus Day Weekend:

Fri., 10/10
DL 8am - 12midnight
DCA 10am - 6pm

Sat., 10/11
DL 8am - 12midnight
DCA 10am - 10pm

Sun., 10/12
DL 8am - 12midnight
DCA 10am - 9pm

Mon., 10/13
DL 10am - 11pm
DCA 10am - 8pm

Hopefully with the extended hours, it will help "stretch out" the crowds. We'll probably go over 1st thing in the morning, go back to DLH & hang out at the pool, and then go back after dinner.

Can't wait!!
