No Fantasmic, Fireworks or Parades?!

We are planning a one day visit to DL on Sept 12 and when we looked on the website for Sept hours it did not have any of these events listed. The park is open until midnight. My son will be so disappointed! Is it just because it is non peak time? Or will they list the events later?

Not all of the events are posted on the calendar this far in advance. So check back when it gets closer.

During the off season, DL only has the fireworks and Fantasmic only on weekends. So it'll just be a matter of what time the events will take place.

If the park is open until midnight, it sounds like it's a weekend, so there should be fireworks. Don't let it worry you at this point. Check closer to the dates.

Hey, Jack's mom, we'll be there on that day, too. I imagine that there will be fireworks, although I'm hoping there's no parade. I want to catch as many rides as we can and the parade interrupts some of that.

Yeah, we are hoping to get as many rides in between the two parks as possible as we have only one day to spend there.

My son was really looking forward to Fantasmic at DL more than anything as he loves the WDW version. We'll see. When I talked to a cast member who books the Fantasmic dessert buffet she said they would be showing it since it is a Friday but an information desk member said she didn't think so because it is off season.

Either way, I'm sure we'll have a blast.

I think Fantasmic is going to be closed for refurb in September...but you may still be able to catch fireworks...like the others have said, wait until you're closer to your date and then check...

I don't know about September, but I do know as of a week ago, Disney had Fantasmic closed in October for refurb. Must take awhile to clean all those firework cannons.

After Labor Day in September, firworks and Fantasmic should only be on weekends, if this year follows years past. The parade should run once every day, twice on weekends. When we travel off season, we generally plan to arrive on a Sunday so we can enjoy the fireworks and Fantasmic as a start to our vacation.

Fantasmic will be closed Sept 2 - Nov 7...lots of attractions are closing the day after Labor Day for refurb. or...in the case of Conostoga Wagon, Burger Invasion etc. the McDonald's contract will be up, so McD will be moving out and Mickey moving in.

Yes, we have no McDonald's (after Labor Day)...their 10 year contract is almost up...the Harbour Galley, Westward Ho and Burger Invasion will be operated by The Mouse come Christmas.

I'm going to be there Sept 7 - 10.

If I'm understanding you all correctly, I will not be able to see Fantasmic or fireworks, correct?

At least the Haunted Mansion doesn't close until the 8th.

Jeez. My first time there since 1976, and a bunch of the stuff I really wanted to see is going to be closed. IASW, Fantasmic, no fireworks...with my luck, Space Mountain will close the day I get there.

Only Fantasmic is "closed" - the fireworks will still be going, at least on the weekends (Fri-Sun). I checked Sunday's hours (Sept 7) and DL is open until 10pm - so you should have fireworks....
