| Where to watch the fireworks outside of the park? I will be staying at the Disneyland hotel this upcoming Saturday night and I was wondering if there was a good place to watch the fireworks outside of the park. I'm only spending the night at the hotel prior to leaving on my cruise so I did not want to spend the money on buying a park ticket for one day.

I would hazzard (I've not been on the upper floors of DLH) that a good place to watch the fireworks is in the plaza between the two parks. Many people who are leaving DCA at that time pause and "cop a squat" to watch them - you may miss lower ones, but you still see quite a few. There may be common areas in the hotel, but like I said, I've never been higher than the raised seating at Goofy's Kitchen on the first floor....

| Like HeatherD says, the esplanade is a decent spot, but you won't see the castle lights nor the low fireworks...but you will get the soundtrack...another place to see them (without sound) is on top of the Mickey and Friends parking structure...the soundtrack REALLY adds to the magic of the show, though. I've seen the fireworks both with and without the soundtrack...what a difference!!
